we already know that and no one cares, I want the house to impeach him and the people to vote him out in 2020

I actually want republicans in the Senate to defend his actions on record, that way Trump can run in 2020 as it will be an easy win for dems

The public wasn't aware of this issue, and NSA Director Rogers action, until May 2017 when it was learned that Rogers told the FISA court he became aware of unlawful surveillance and collection of U.S. persons. Put into context, it appears that 2016 surveillance was political surveillance.

As a result of Rogers suspecting [FISA 702 (#17 – email and phone calls)] surveillance activity was being used for reasons he deemed unlawful, in mid 2016 Rogers ordered the NSA compliance officer to run a full audit on 702 NSA compliance.

Again, 702 is basically spying on Americans; the actual “spying” part is 702. Item 17 is “About Queries“, which allows queries or searches of content of email and phone conversations based on any subject matter put into the search field.

The NSA compliance officer identified several strange 702 “About Queries” that were being conducted. These were violations of the fourth amendment (search and seizure), ie. unlawful surveillance and gathering. Admiral Rogers was briefed by the compliance officer on October 20th, 2016.

Admiral Mike Rogers ordered the “About Query” activity to stop, reported the activity to the DOJ, and then went to the FISA court.

On October 26th, 2016, full FISC assembly, NSA Director Rogers personally informed the court of the 702(17) violations. Additionally, Rogers also stopped “About Query” permanently.

Funny how what you call a conspiracy theory is all well documented.

And guess what happened next? The bogus FISA applications began to be filed.

In a nutshell, the contractors, included Crowdstrike, were supposed to contain their work totally to within the FBI computer system.

But as the court analysis shows, there were no safeguards in place to keep Crowdstrike from moving sensitive information out of the government system. Shades of Hillary Clinton doing the same with classified e-mails.

Rogers found out that the contractors, and Crowdstrike in particular, were gathering way more information than what the FBI was requesting. This is documented in the court summation.

Trump simply knows that Crowdstrike was right in the middle of the illegal surveillance and would love to have AG Barr take a very close look at their Ukraine server.

I agree , good thing Trump did not do that. At least not as far as we can tell at this moment.

I think we already went over this whole "collude" thing back when the left was going nuts about the Russian conspiracy. You can use "collude" if you want to make "work with" sound ominous, but if you're trying to sell that again, might I suggest going back to explaining how Trump is going to prison just as soon as Mueller releases his report.

btw: whatever happened to the Russian conspiracy? Maybe we should ask Maddow...

It is ILLEGAL for an American to solicit election support from a foreign source

It is ILLEGAL for an American official to use the power of his office for personal gain whether it be political or financial

The memo (it wasn't a transcript) lays both out clearly

Intricate and imaginative conspiracies that read like a tourist map of Rome won't do much this time around. The Trump car has just crashed though a hundred year old barn and now the whole place is on fire. Nobody much cares that the house's electrical wiring is a tangle. Everyone is captivated by the unfolding disaster as cows and chickens scatter everywhere. However, if it makes you feel better, Boggle away.

    Again...

Trump asked for the Ukrainian Crowdstrike server. Crowdstrike was a third party contractor that somehow gained illegal access to the NSA data banks through the FBI system.

Anyone who even knew about Crowdstrike sending data outside of the US would be guilty of an espionage crime.

If Trump gets a hold of that server, he may actually be able to drain a large portion of the swamp.

TRUMP IS REQUIRED TO ACT under the conditions of a treaty with the Ukraine.

Article 15 obligates the Requested State to execute requests for search, seizure, and delivery of any item to the Requesting State if the request includes the information justifying such action under the laws of the appropriate.

Trump provided a valid, "probable cause," reason and made his request for the Crowdstrike server.

    Completely Legal !

This, from the people who spent 3 years using foreign sources to create a narrative to have Trump removed from office.

There's nothing illegal about Trump investigating the people who were "investigating" him. It's perfectly legal in fact, thanks to Bill Clinton.

Being a candidate for President doesn't make you immune from corruption investigations.

Your claim was that Republicans hired a foreign company to get opposition research against Trump.

    That was false.

    was not false

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/25/us/politics/steele-dossier-trump-expained.html

    "
    Who paid for it?
During the Republican primaries, a research firm called Fusion GPS was hired by The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website, to unearth potentially damaging information about Mr. Trump. The Free Beacon — which was funded by a major donor supporting Mr. Trump’s rival for the party’s nomination, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida — told Fusion GPS to stop doing research on Mr. Trump in May 2016, as Mr. Trump was clinching the Republican nomination.
