I love how you state my opinions are not superior — when I never said they were and the second largest medical association agrees — after telling me to leave my country if I do not like the disfunction that is your opinion and our current state of affairs. If anyone is claiming their opinion is superior and everyone else should shut up or leave, it is you.

In detail, not your opinion (aka sources), how would bringing our medical — costs, expenses, wages, and educational outlays — “decimate the medical industry” should we bring them in line with the rest of the world?

Only a few weeks ago I had a conversation with a woman who decried the fact that the United States does not have Medicaid for every citizen.

Who would pay I asked. The govt she responded. Where would they get the money I asked. Her response was the one percenters. Yes, it begged the question: do you really believe that 1% of the population can purchase healthcare for 100% of the population? She did.

I blame Saul Alinsky. Americans are so divided and enraged that we can no longer sit down at the kitchen table and talk "about the arithmetic".

I would like to submit the following video for consideration. No, it's not a 2-minute video but it deserves viewing. Yes, healthcare and the medical industry is included.

First glimpses don't always tell the whole story.

On a side note, please indulge my curiosity. A question for those most dedicated to the idea of some sort of "socialized" medicine in America:

Would you consider a "compromise" in order to gain it? Would you trade jus soli for jus sanguinis?

The ACP has the membership of a small percentage of physicians, and I doubt its leadership's position speaks for a majority of its members. Most that join societies do it for journals such as JAMA which comes as a complimentary subscription with AMA membership, and convenient access to CME credits and conferences. Further, medical residents are pushed by their specialties to join these societies and most quickly let membership lapse after graduation.

Yeah, no kidding. After I told them that every patient is allowed a translator when discussing medical diagnoses, they told me that wasn't their policy, and they would not abide by my wife's wishes to have me present. Their Yelp and Google reviews should have clued me in to their treatment of patients, but the office was close and convenient, so I ignored them.

By finding another career path and nobody will go through that much training if there isn't enough reward.
If you can't get into that realm of income the motivation to do it doesn't exist.

Why is that only true in the US?
Everywhere else in the world is an exception.

I'm not sure it's true everywhere else in the world. So I doubt your claim.

Start here, you will notice we are the highest paying followed closely by Canada but we are almost 50% more expensive than what the #3 country is and it increases from there...
All with better results, higher life expectancy, lower child mortality, lower medical errors and it is paid for via taxes.
No one worries about losing their home over medical bills they cannot pay.
No one skips going for treatment because they will not be able to pay the bills that month.

In the fields of pharmaceuticals and medical devices the differences are even more drastic.

Now that I have proven my claim would you care to answer the question.

I'm still not sure it happens elsewhere and this response doesn't support that claim.

I literally posted a link, do you take issue with it or are you just playing willful ignorance?
    The numbers are valid.

No. Make your links oblivious or they don't exist.
