I believe their speciality is medicine...

    Not the economics of medicine.

    That's nice.
It's a fact that you support a tax based single payer system that causes those that earn more than you to pay more than you, so you can enjoy the tax subsidy, ie., free stuff on the backs of others.

Please discuss the data that demonstrates causation between single payer and longer life.

Also please define medical error and how that data is collected, and the methods that's demonstrate causation between our system and higher errors

No other first world nation is close to our size or has to deal with rampant illegal immigration. We have more illegals then the entire population of some of the countries you’re comparing us to. Also, I can call up a doctor and get a hernia taken care of in a week for example. Can’t do that in other countries unless you’re dying.

Likely some doctors ARE in it for the money, but I have not interviewed enough doctors on that issue to arrive at a meaningful answer.

Have you? Or do you offer a cynical view not corroborated or proved?

No, the solution is to CHANGE the system that we have, the system that has failed in so many ways.

The primary relationship in healthcare delivery is the one between patient and physician. Our current system that so many defend inserts a third party, a party concerned with profits only, between the patient and physician.

Is that really a rational model? Assuming quality healthcare is one's primary concern?

You are certainly correct about that.

But even people who eat properly can get disease and sickness and will eventually need medical treatment.

Is it sensible to have profit-driven insurance companies telling the doctor and patient how they shall relate?

Your doubt about leadership speaking for the rank and file may be misplaced, eh?

I socialize with various physicians. Most if not all express frustration about the way their practices are infringed upon by the insurance companies. Most think we need to change the way business is conducted.

The "argument" in defense of our current healthcare system is no argument at all. It is an apology for the third party special interests who benefit from medicine for profit. It is only a weak defense of the status quo.

And they want all their reimbursements to be a fraction of commercial too, I bet.
And I bet they're just begging to see twice as many patients for the same income when their reimbursements all fall to medicare rates.

However, Dr earning 500K annually has to pay a large premium on malpractice insurance. Doctors invest a ton of their life for the betterment for humanity. I have no issues with a doctor making bank.
