Your assumptions and pathetic insults aside, made does not always refer to net profits. I understand the need for you to deflect however.

I have, many times, just not in this thread. And, no, I won't repeat myself for you.

Don't try to take my money, guns or try to tell me what's of to believe and think and I'm pretty reasonable i think.

The things we argue about as Americans are actually pretty minor compared to the rest of the world. That right there tells us how good we have it. We are arguing if tax payers should fund abortions or green energy.. we aren't arguing about who gets the village pig to feed their family.

Every once in a while we each need to step back and be thankful for what we have.
None of us on this board are starving to death, in fact we throw away more food than some people have to eat.

Yes we talk about important things.. but some perspective should be used too.

As Brandeis noted, in the frank expression of conflicting opinions lies the greatest promise of wisdom in governmental action.

I, too, use the services of doctors in a country with socialized medicine, Mexico; It works because they are very competitive when being paid CASH.

Are you volunteering for a pay cut in order to get a new system? Why would they?

Reminds me of a hymn: "Government loves me this I know because the crooked politicians tell me so." ;-)

“But more than three-quarters of those polled said they had been forced to pay for private treatment because they had been unable to find an NHS dentist. Almost a fifth said they had refused dental treatment because of the cost.
One respondent in Lancashire, northern England, claimed to have extracted 14 of their own teeth with a pair of pliers. In Liverpool, one of those collecting data for the survey interviewed three people who had pulled out their own teeth in one morning.

"I took most of my teeth out in the shed with pliers. I have one to go," another respondent wrote.
Others said they had fixed broken crowns using glue to avoid costly dental work.

Valerie Halsworth, 64, told British television's GMTV she had removed seven of her own teeth using her husband's pliers when her toothache became unbearable and she was unable to find an NHS dentist willing to treat her.”
CNN, Brits resort to pulling own teeth, October 15, 2007.

So basically, no argument about the realities of human selfishness and how that works for society in capitalism and fails under collective forms of social organization like socialism.

Do you admit that you political agenda is based on fairy tales?

You can stand around and call everybody else greedy because reality is contrary to the utopia you imagine.... but that doesn't change reality.

Allowing the suffer of others only so that you can make more money is greed in a nutshell. Defending a system that deprives others so that you can profit says a ton about the character of the person doing it.

No different than the pharmaceutical companies that jack up their prices on old medicines to push shareholder gains while depriving others of necessary medicines or pushing addictive opiates on poor communities to drive profits.

And those medicines wouldn't have been invented if it wasn't for the opportunity for profit.

Capitalism is the closest system to simple barter/trade.

The alternative is a system in which people are not motivated, medication doesn't get R&D and isnt brought to market, and everybody suffers.

Forcing non-human behaviors on people, like removing profit or forcing them to reduce profits might work in the short term, but ultimately people will stop innovating.

    That’s false

We do not have capitalism in this counrty.

Also false and ignores the relative success of other nations

    Again, this ignores other nations

Ok. So who is going to invent things when the profit motivation is gone?

Sure we do. It isnt lazzies faire capitalism, and is imposed with anti-trust and other laws... but for all intents and purposes it follows free market principals.

Name a country, that has been as innovative as the United States, that utilizes non-capitalist economic systems.

Name the country. Let's look at actuals.
