....who also wore orange makeup.... I mean, at the end of the day, why should we normalize that just because the wingers think it's a lightweight complaint.

Our former disgraced POTUS wore as much makeup as Tammy Faye Bakker (BTW, Congrats to Jessica Chastain.... very nice performance)

It's OK for men to put something on for TV, as recommended AND applied by a professional makeup person, but this was a daily abuse of cosmetic products, for which true purpose nobody could ever figure out...

The right doesn't seem especially fond of men who dabble in makeup.... I wonder why they made an exception for this doily?

And we wonder why any voter would find makeup -- or lack thereof -- or the color of the makeup, more relevant than, say, border control, repatriation of jobs exported to China, or the prospect of the "What Difference Does it Make" cattle baroness and her Russian dossier living in the White House with Bill and his moistened cigar.

It was a binary choice. See?

    No.

Read this essay (by a liberal), which only scratches the surface of Hillary's, mendacity, greed, dishonesty and incompetence, character assassination, war mongering, treachery (as against Willey, Broderick, Flowers, and Lewinsky).

    https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2008/01/the-case-against-hillary-clinton.html

You could have nominated Sanders, Manchin, even Gore, or Warren in 2016. One or more I might have voted for, especially Gore. But no. You just had to have Hillary because "I am woman hear me roar" or something.

That was your decision. Not ours. She and your decision to nominate her are the reason you lost.

Why didn't Mueller find collusion? Did the Russians get to him?

Well, for starters, Mueller Report was incomplete and thus any conclusiion incomplete. He basically got the hell out of dodge in 2020 because he know the GOP and the Trump Administration would not let him do his job independently.

Mueller just needed a few more years and more attorneys and more millions to blow, right?

It's all so ridiculous. There is plenty to criticize Trump for. To continue flogging this stupid Russia collusion horse is just embarrassing. You'd think by now that just ONE person would come out of the woodwork and give a statement I'd take a drug addicted urinating prostitute at this point I'm so bored.

"Orange-sky man BAD and a-grabsky me and cheap tipper too with small-a mushroom, no appreciate Golden Shower, he not like Great President Putin a bomb the Ukraine!"

Do I ask for so much?

He needed to inverview DJT first and possibly additional interviews by some other people. But a year would have been enough IMO. Trump on the other hand used the closing of the Mueller Report as a "victory" as part of his reelection effort. Trump did not do this for truth or justice, but one more notch in his belt to hopefully win the reelection.

As for the Dossier and everything else, everybody, and I do mean everybody, has spun this issue so much that we don't even know what the truth really is or not.

Wasn't my decision either... I vote for the D on the final ballot, not how the D gets there, since I'm not a D

Al Gore?? You might have voted for Al Gore in 2016?

Don't make me laugh... The only idea funnier than Al Gore as POTUS in 2016 is Joe Manchin anywhere near actual levers of power...

He has every right to use a personal telephone for personal phone calls and there is NO requirement he log those calls with official calls. And go read the thread started now that we know the original story was wrong, the record is complete for his official phone calls.

I don't think Hillary needed any help from Obama to earn the dislike for her she did that all on her own.

but the investigation is looking for that information, that gap shows he did not use his government phones

we know he made calls to Republican in Congress, now we need to find out what phones he used

I actually voted for Johnson (Libertarian). Hillary makes me ill, but I couldn't get past Trump's birtherism re: Obama.

hmmm, Joe Manchin has more power to determine the country's future than Joe Biden does. He knows it, Biden knows it. How's that Title 42 working out for Biden? Manchin has spoken, another Biden initiative DOA.

As long as it does not involve national security matters, discussing classified or higher documents, etc. Yes, Trump uses his cell phone to call into shows like Fox and Friends or Hannity or whoever else. And that is fine, but the cell phone is not carte blanche. And that is where the problem lies.

As the president, his calls and his phone conservations are to be, with anything governmental, are to be "recorded." It is easier if done by official phone because all phone conservations are transcriibed, documentented, and stored at the WH and then National Archieves.

This is per government regulations in 5 USC and subsequent regulations, among others.

So did John McCain when he voted against the GOP version of the Health Care Reform Bill in 2017. And yet the GOP went after him like it was nobody's business.

No they are not "recorded", certain OFFICIAL phone calls as with foreign leaders are "transcribed" and then summaries are compiled. If a President wants to talk to someone about private matters it is a private phone call.

Why? We know CANDIDATE Trump wanted what he believed a lawful objection to the vote to be injected. It was not. What more do you need to know and what is the legislative purpose?

then why hide it, turn over the records

Trump knew he lost fair and square.... he also knew some would be stupid enough to believe his lies

One of the things that fundamnentally divides us here and in the country is illustrated above. Some say "Why do you need a gun?" and demand justification. They are more likely than others to demand personal records and call upon the subject (in this case Trump) to justify his use of a private phone and "turn over the records."

Then it becomes, "The records show you called Giuliani at 2:17 p.m. Why did you call him, and what was discussed?

I hope he fights you all the way on this.

What business is it of the Congress? Trump knew, rightly or wrongly, he had a possible legal angle to have Electors decertified just as Dems had attempted.

nope, Trump was the President, nothing is "private"

if he wanted a "private" life, he should not of become President

because that is their job, and Trump was President at the time, if he was involved in this, the people need to know

I didn't expect you to agree. Just curious: what limits if any would you put on congressional committees' power to nose around in Trump's personal business? What questions are improper?
