This didn't pass the stink test. So I picked one at random to compare with another source on the same topic...

    Source
. Wouldn't be the first time I've destroyed an absurd claim by a sociologist, but the first time on this forum. You post "facts" without linking the source to appropriately rend. So I in my benevolence decided to plunder the DoJ to see if you were being creative with me. As a supposed math whiz you are expecting me to believe a claim that has a range of .5 to 1.5 million guns stolen per yer? I don't know is a more responsible answer with greater accuracy. This is called wild ass guessing pal. This sociologist should be fired on grounds of sheer ignorance.

But the silly notion that you thought a sociologist was a good source was absolutely comical. And I needed a laugh today. Thank you.

You're creative alright. You're just wrong, way wrong. And caught red handed in a LIE, or at least dubious sourcing at best.

"What is this Garbage?!" <<< In my best Arnold impersonation possible.

So what other options do you think you have? Completely deregulated firearm ownership is off the table.

I suppose about five years? And I'd imagine they'd have a serial number that could be used to check that its a valid license, that way you can't use an expired, void or fake license.

Not a blessed one anybody could agree on. Completely deregulate the whole thing. Let common sense and the free market do the sorting out.

Link to source that I may rend or confirm. Or data you put forth will not be taken with a shred of seriousness.

Come back in the morning after you have had some sleep, me thinks you're not firing all cylinders.

This is not an option because most of the citizenry is opposed to this.

Why don't you take your control freak, Government loving ass and take a hike? It'll be a cold day in hell before I let the Government regulate anything more about my life. Be it my medical coverage, my business dealings, or my guns.

STFO OF MY LIFE!!! Stop making my life a living hell by dictating everything to me! I don't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) if society crumbles. I want my freedoms and I'll keep them even if I have to kill to do so.

Non sequitur. That didn't even come close to answering my question, it didn't even pretend to address my question.

    I'll restate:

Then why did you make the statement that "More Guns = More Gun Homicides, statistically speaking" and then post statistics that showed gun homicides to be at a 30+ year low while the number of gun owners and total number of guns has been increasing? What was the connection between your claim and the stats that you posted?

Actually it kind of it. But maybe that is just my freedom loving personality talking out loud again. Will the government have to decide how many washing machines I have in the future too because energy taxes too?

It is just getting too ridiculous. The government has its finger in too many pies.

Weapons "bring conflicts to lethality and increase the number of leathal outcomes from a conflict." NYCmitch25
The human ego is the real source for conflicts, murder, robbery and all crime.

It was the ego, invented by Adam, that inspired Cain to kill his brother. [IMG]

Banning one type of weapon is not a solution.

But, following "nature's God" is the way to build the real peace, security, and prosperity of Heaven on Earth.

For the last 150+ years we have been in open rebellion to "nature's God" and His Perfect Intent.

Yeah plus that way we can suppress all the people and ideas we disagree with or if it comes to it (and it usually does) just kill them.

Your position sounds nice as long as you ignore human history.

Since no less an authority than Joe Biden himself publicly admitted that no law would stop mass killings or day-to-day gang murders, why bother why gun confiscation?

Some of the real intent of NYCmitch25:
"If you sell or receive a gun and do not claim it, it is considerd "stolen" on YOUR end."

In otherwords, people do not own their weapons. You can't steal your own property. To steal, one must steal someone else's property.

In otherwords, you weapons are already confiscated under any sort of registration scheme. Anything you register with the bureaucrats, they figure they own it and can regulate it and charge you rent to use it.

It is Vicariously who is ignoring history and the crucial role that the treacherous human ego has played in it since Adam.

    Terrible ideas.

If anything we should just ban all registered Democrats from owning guns, since they don't believe that they as an adult are capable of owning one responsibly.

No, you really don't have a clue how to manage them. I mean just glancing over that nonsense for example I noticed that you proposed "individuals not being allowed to own more than 1 gun at a time".

Because we all know that getting shot with 1 gun isn't enough to kill someone.

If new gun laws cannot stop massacres and day-to-day violence, why is the issue even being discussed?
