1) what are you talking about? They been waiting years to replace him. It was never a permanent position. If it was cause of Rudy they would have done it months ago.

    2) trump nor Barr are being investigated by SDNY

    3) there is nothing obtuse about it a special prosecutor is not a US Attorney

Who’s employed by the state of NY?

Richardson didn’t fire Cox. Cox was also a special prosecutor, not a regular US Attorney, they have extra protection and must be fired for cause
Or what? They get struck by lightening?

How do you know who the SDNY is investigating? Did they send you a list?

Yup, you can’t investigare the president or his allies unless he allows you to. Also, congress can’t either.
    So who can?

Do you realize this US Attorney is an interim appointee who has never been confirmed by the Senate? Why do you claim he has squatters rights to the position?

Just his personal attorney, let’s remember he also claimed he wasn’t being investigated for collusion either.

And an interim is replaced by someone who is confirmed by the Senate or another interim is named. In this case since Sessions didn't get around to naming an interim the judges of the SDNY voted unanimously to retain him as the prosecutor until "the senate confirms a replacement". His replacement isn't even on the docket yet to be confirmed.

"Mr. Berman has been U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York for more than two years under a judicial appointment but was never nominated or confirmed by the Senate."

He has NO claim on the position and his refusing to vacate the position claiming some right to it is the height of arrogance and nonsense. He serves ONLY at the pleasure of the AG and President.

He is an INTERIM, never confirmed and has NO grounds to resist his being replaced and the judges have no role in the matter, they do NOT make such decision he serves at the pleasure of the AG and the President.

No one has said the President cannot be investigated, Trump was investigated for over three years.

WHAT? No, he is employed by the DOJ, the Federal Government. This has nothing to do with the state of NY.

Or what? They get struck by lightening?
Berman is NOT a special prosecutor, he is a temporary US Attorney, learn the difference.

I didn’t say he can’t, I said it requires his consent. If he doesn’t want to be investigated, he can’t be.

Yes, even easier to stop an investigation by a USA. If congress can’t investigate the president, then the only ones who can are people he can fire for doing so.

You’re replying my posts out of context.
The president can’t be invrsigated without his consent. That’s your view of how it works.
