You really think gun control will stop school shootings?

I think it would be the most effective countermeasure. No solution will be perfect.

    Can't imagine reading these
    117,000 AMERICANS ATTACKED WITH MACHETES
60,000 AMERICANS KILLED THEMSELVES WITH MACHETES
30,000 AMERICANS ACCIDENTALLY KILLED THEMSELVES WITH MACHETES
MAN HURLS 1,000 MACHETES INTO CROWD IN LAS VEGAS
MACHETE SNIPER KILLS MAN AT 1,000 YARDS

Nah...I'll stick with guns. You see, hand guns in particular are to kill people. Machetes generally speaking don't kill people.

Harden the schools. That's the best strategy.

    Seriously?

You claim that guns are harmless because they are inanimate objects.

An atomic bomb is an inanimate object.

    Why can't I have one?

It's the least effective, because as long as a nutjob can gain entry into a school, he can still kill kids.

    Because you can't afford one.

    Yes, but if he can't get a gun . . .

It did, but it didn’t stop massacres from happening. They in fact increased in frequency. The laws were not effective at stopping mass casualty events. So when you’re dealing with an American that says the massacres won’t stop, they will just change methods, they will be right.

You come off as only caring about gun deaths and are ok with massacres increasing with other means despite the restricted availability of guns in that country. Or in other words, those deaths are on because they didn’t occur with a gun.

Sure, but it's hard to kill 21 people with a knife.

The reason you can't have one is you don't understand what a bomb is, and you keep reminding everyone of that fact. Trying to explain things to you is tiring the way showing my dog how to play scrabble is tiring.

We'll start by fixing your twisted conception of a gun.

It is the easy access to guns - which are objects made for the sole purpose of killing - that kills 60 Americans a month in mass shootings.

So to claim that they are just inanimate objects with the same status as a shovel or a toothbrush is abysmally stupid.

Everybody has impulses, but we mostly don't act on them and one of the major reasons we don't is because they're not easy to do. In cases like this I blame mostly the enabler, the person who makes it easy. This is why I blame the Republican Massacre Enablers and believe we all should vote all of them out of office in November.

Then you think the 2nd Amendment means we should allow George Soros and Bill Gates to have nukes?

Nukes aren't firearms. That's a lame ass argument.

Different context. It was a machete war. One of the biggest tragedies of Africa was the arrival of Western firearms,
particularly the AK47. These firearms turned tradition spear and knife fights into lethan modern battles with high
casualties. It was death at a distance.
