doesn't take orders well though, that is a pretty big military requirement, but seriously, he is 4, I hope this is not really this overreacted too by the school

Unless he changes his behavior he's be headed for a BCD in the Military. Hopefully he'll take this lesson to heart.

The OP has the most problem with the preschool leaders for being such psychos about a tiny speck of brass.
The real danger is that a baby could possibly slightly cut its mouth or choke on it.
But really, would the same nuts running the school have an issue if the kid brought in a gun spring, a gun extractor or a firing pin? I think anyone so upset about the tiny shell case would have no concept of what the other parts were: Actual "Gun Parts."

Really, a live 50 cal round would pose no danger to the helpless tots. As the four year old would have virtually no chance of setting it off.

What I think makes no difference since I don't own the school; as far as searching the child, that's up to the parents, i'm not in the habit of telling parents how to raise their child; that's their decision and not mine.

A pencil is literally more dangerous than that casing. This shows an incredible ignorance to reality, guns and common sense...and those people are educating children!!!!

    What have we become?

I think this calls for a visual!

Here are normal four year olds Dado "which can be held accountable" let us know which one finally made you feel a little foolish and insensitive!

They grow up so fast, one day there two and before you know it they are four and off to pre-school where retarded adults expel them for their wicked ways and before you know it they are seven in prison for tooth decay and accidental pee pee in the pants, clearly this problem should be dealt with quickly and mercilessly!

You do know that the work "virtually" means "not really." In the context what you're saying is that if this were a live round the kid would have some chance of "setting it off."

The real issue is what it has always been. A child purposely and willfully disobeying.

All of them can be held accountable when they knowingly and repeatedly break the rules. It's part of growing up.

Probably because many weapons eject to the right and forward. Someone crawling around picking up brass could then bob up slightly forward of the firing line which clearly would be unsafe.

What if this rule is asinine and ridiculous? Lots of kids purposely and willfully disobey rules. Perhaps most of them do.
Not all of them get this response however because this school action was a hysterical over reaction because it tangentially has to due with firearms and we all know how the irrational fear of anything to do with them motivates many educrat morons.

Schools are still a little jumpy after Columbine and various other shootings by angry whitebread boys with a talent for planned mayhem.

It was an already spent shell casing. I think the school staff was tired of hearing him brag about his grandpa the cop.

Suspending a four year old is not the answer.

He won't remember it in the 1st grade, only some angry liberals made his life miserable as a child. Then they wonder why they snap and shoot up a school.

If only he'd cobbled together a clock-like device and brought that to school, he would have been safe. Maybe next time - sorry, kid.

I honestly feel a little sorry for you, anyone that expects that sort of discipline from a four year old child is truly insensitive to a degree that is more abusive than understanding, have it your way!

I'm really not liking what I have learned of Liberals today! It's one thing to be angry with peers but to be this insensitive to a four year old only shows their intolerance for someone this young is beyond a dark heart! Truly hateful lot and my heart pains for their children and those that must be left in their hands! No wonder the U.S. and it's young are in the state it is!

Ah, I am SO bookmarking this post. The next time one of our liberal friends complains about racism, I will surely use you as an example of what the compassionate left looks like. Thanks, dude!

I'm 70. Glad I don't have to be a kid now. We didn't have preschool. At 4-years-old we had cap guns to shot while playing cops and robbers. Around 7-8 years old, we were shooting BB guns (at each other). Also got to play with water proof cherry bombs and M-80s (=quarter stick of dynamite.). Four kids under 7 riding in the car. No seat belts or car seats. That's life in the 1950's. Wasn't so lassie faire with my kids.

I'm an 80s kid myself, knocking on 40. Life as a kid wasn't much different for us. We used to hang our feet out the back of station wagon driving down the road. We had plenty of bb gun & bottle rocket wars.

I think my generation was the last before parents wanted to be their kids friend instead of a parent. We didn't get participation trophies, they told us to try harder if we wanted a trophy

Are these the same rules that expel a kid for chowing a pop tart in to the shape of a gun? The school fuc* up.
