    The treaty stipulate that the first safe country has to accept the refugees. Mexico is the first safe country they enter by land.
    If they camed by sea or airplane directly to the USA then the treaty would apply, but they don't.

    Children are sadly probably receiving the best treatment they've had in their lives. 3 squares meals with health, dental and vision.

    Why don't Democrats fix it? Why do they hate these children or use them as political pawns?

    Trump has repeatedly asked for Congress to work on a bill and get it to his desk so he can sign it and fix issues at the border but Chuck and Nancy refuse.

    Trump can only sign what Congress delivers him. Start moaning to your elected officials about these issues and refuse to support Democrats who will not work with Trump to get the much needed bills passed.

    the point she was making is we should treat children better then this... my goodness the right has gone off the rails defending Trump

    it's like someone saying I feel like I was raped by the government when they pay too much taxes, your not actually comparing yourself to a rape victim.... people are stretching this to a crazy level, she was in no way saying Trump was gonna start gassing children like Hitler did the Jews - Hitler had many levels he had to pass before he got to the highest level of evil

    Mexico has not declared themselves a safe country for asylum seekers, Trump lied about that being in the deal... would be nice if they would, but they have not

    the Mexico deal was just a deal to talk about making a deal, much like the "deal" with North Korea

    defend our borders form asylum seekers? if we don't want them, change immigration laws... Congress can do that

    we invited them here to seek asylum, Trump advertised that to the world, now they are coming in droves - you can thank Trump for creating this influx of people coming here for a better life for their families

    Not how the treaty work.

    The first safe country is the first country the refugee enters who isn't implicated in the disaster/war they're fleeing from. They can't shop around.
    It's the reason that almost all of those who crossed into Canada from the vermont border crossing are repatriated inside of a year to their home country. You can't shop around.

    Actually, yes you are free to return to your country of origin. Plus, as to knowing something may cause your death, have you never heard the phrase: Hold my beer and watch this! ;)

    Seriously though, they SAY they fled their country in fear for their lives, but they bypass Mexico, which offered asylum, to 'shop' where they went. That is not 'fleeing in fear for their lives', that is wanting a new place to live with a better economic prognosis.
