I would hope that every American would be disgusted and outraged at this.

Some gun club in Scotsdale, Arizona has decided to allow happy family Santa snaps. Nothing harmless in that, is there? But you also get to hand six year old Johnny an AK-47, or a grenade launcher. And lets not forget mum, pointing a gun at her infants head. Don't believe me? Here's the proof:

Obviously, most Americans would find this sickening, but the fact that at least ONE family has thought it would be a good idea is appalling!
Whatever happened to teaching kids to respect guns? With these pictures, its basically saying that guns are fun toys to play with!

A family of seven is already dead, murdered by a crazed gunman on Xmas day, and elsewhere, you have idiots like this taking happy snaps surrounded by the things!

I can't believe this is even legal. I really hope the article is a hoax because I can't believe that an gun club, or parent, could be so irresponsible and dumb.

I have no idea what point the club is trying to make, or the point of using Santa is. I don't even know why any parent would want to allow their young child to hold a deadly weapon. Yes, its not loaded, but children as young as this shouldn't even SEE guns, let alone hold them.

Aw, the Mexican drug cartels like this stuff. And this is great advertising to get more gun runners to make money off the drug cartels. I just hope these stores have enough ammo. Those Mexicans use a lot of it. And often these stores run out.

Any way, who said AZ doen't have good forgen policy with Mexico?

And who says stoners don't contribute forigen aid to Mexico?

That weapon is not pointed at the infants head.

In any case I'm not seeing the problem here.

    Makk,

I think you have been socially conditioned to fear guns to the point that the mere sight of them elicits a highly negative emotional response.

I've seen this before, on a news cast where the newscasters were totally outraged that couples were wandering around a gun show with strollers. As if such a place was "no place for children".

From what I can see in the pics firearm safety is being obeyed. Fingers are off the triggers and the weapons are all pointing in safe directions.

Again this is bloviated left-wing non American bull(*)(*)(*)(*) from some European rag that has low credibility and frankly don't know what the hell they talk about.

But what did you expect from a bunch of stuck-up snobby Europeans and the British Colonies of Prison Island Australia and hell-hole New Zealand?

Your misconceptions and misrepresentations of these pictures just shows you're nothing but a brainless troll looking for a flambait session to bash America.

It's not just her, a lot of people have. It's insane but you get around people who have never handled a firearm and some of them are scared to death to even be in the same room with them. If you have Netflix I highly recommend watching the episode where the hippie lives with the gun nuts (who are not actually nuts). She fires a gun a breaks down crying. I won't ruin it for you, you have to watch it to hear why she's crying! After you hear what she says, you'll lower your head in knowing that she just shamed all of humanity with her stupidity. To be fair though she lost people to gun violence, however fearing the weapons themselves and seeing them as some sort of untamed beast is stupid. You may as well say that airplanes cause terrorism.

I lived in Philadelphia, where guns are outlawed, and I live in Kane, where guns are encouraged. people are much nicer in Kane. they have respect for each other. I prefer to stay here. both places are in USA, state of PA.

Oh and by the way. criminals still had guns in Philadelphia, where police molest teenagers booked on drug charges. here in Kane, police treats you like a neighbor.

What are you trying to say Australia isn't in Europe, because it clearly is! That's how we won WWI; Cpt Dun "Crocodile" Dee charging forth with the Kangaroo Corps into the village of Fosters. On a strange note this is how we got the terms Captain Kangaroo and Sauerkraut. I aced geography!

Ha ha I am afraid you will not find too much agreement with your sentiment among all Americans. Makedde, you and I agree on many things. However, firearms and how the right of USA citizens to 'keep and bear' arms relate freedom and liberty are not one of them! I am not outraged but envious and proud of the mans photo and what the photo conveys because he is raising his family right, as our founding fathers would approve. Most Americans are not gun phobic, it's our birthright to own and bear arms. I would be outraged by Americans that are outraged by a photo supporting firearms generally or anti gun control issues! I might buy them a ticket to England where they would be in the majority. The only prerequisite would be that you reciprocate by sending us a poor soul downtrodden Englishman that loves firearms as much as we do! Ha Ahhhh‘~ That said, I am convinced that most UK/England and some European citizens are indoctrinated at a young age to accept and even love ‘Orwellian like’ government intervention in their lives.

*cof* I haven’t read all the other replies, but your umm’ rudimentary lack of knowledge of firearms is evident! That is the stock or butt of the gun that is pointing at the infant! Ha ha ! Thanks for the early am humor! The muzzle is pointing away. So no, I don’t believe you. Maybe you should take a breath and be a bit more careful in condemning something you seem to know little about. I do believe you in one way, that is you are afraid of guns. That is like being afraid of a automobile but not the person driving it. it’s the mother in you, which is respectable, but dangerous as well.

No not really what the picture is conveying is that Santa might bring USA citizen adults nice adult toys!

A …..crazed……gun…..MAN. If this crazed individual wanted firearms or gasoline to burn someone to death attempts to keep firearms and gasoline from law abiding citizens would have helped the poor family that was murdered one iota. We should enforce the gun laws on the books instead of dreaming up more ways to restrict freedom.

While the photo is not something I personally would endorse (precisely because it would be misinterpreted by those with an anti gun agenda, I see nothing morally or ethically wrong with the photo, in fact it supports our (USA) god given rights as freedom loving people.

Again, and with all due respect those words are coming from someone that doesn’t know one end of a firearm from another. You seem not to know anything of our culture and are intolerant of different cultures etc. I hope this is not the case and that you have calmed down by now, for your own good, I don’t want to lose one of our best mods to a stroke!

    See above

No thanks! I have some of similar ones of my own, such as me showing my 8 yo niece how to shoot a .22 . Of course I stress gun safety as well! Your comment about not allowing children not to see firearms is off the chart phobic IMO. That would be more dangerous than teaching them they are dangerous etc. It would be like not teaching a child not even look at a watch dog etc because they are dangerous.

Is that the best (oldest and lamest) comeback you can think in that mooshy European mind of yours? I probably know my geography better than you have arrogantly assumed. Just to clue you in that Australia, New Zealand and Canada are still considered English colonies. They still have laws (albiet old ones) in the books that they still bow to the Royalty of England. So you want to try to insult my intelligence again while still having that head shoved 10 miles up your ass? I (*)(*)(*)(*)ing hate you European snobs...

    That was a good one...

Considered by whom? Certainly not Australians, Britons, Canadians, or New Zealanders. And there are no laws in Great Britain, let alone in Australia, Canada, or New Zealand, which require anyone to bow to anyone else,. The deference shown to our Head of State is a matter of time-honoured custom, not law.

You are very free with your self-congratulation, and your Xenophobic insults, but perhaps it might be an idea to first acquaint yourself with the facts. It is often better to remain silent and be suspected of ignorance, than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt in the matter.

Actually we bow (I've never bowed to anyone) to the Australian crown, not the British crown. Learn before you type next time.

I drove an Armored Truck for 20 years and am highly trained in combat shooting. I taught my Mom to shoot a .38 I gave them as a home defense gift. My Dad was in the Air Force and was used to shooting guns. The first time my Mom pulled the trigger, she started crying and was scared half to death. After a few minutes of reassurement, she wanted to try again. After an hour of work and practice, she could put all six shots rapid fire into the X ring at 15 feet and make a decent showing at 25. I drilled it into both of them that a gun wasn't an intimidation tool, it was to shoot an intruder as soon as he faces toward them.

Yeah. Jesus would approve of a bunch of idiots, celebrating his birthday, by having their picture taken next to Santa (the coca cola mascot), holding weapons of violence.

Yeah, just what jesus died for on the cross.

LOL, you are being a little optimistic. Few Americans realise that we (Britons, Canadians, Australians, and New Zealanders) are citizens, not merely subjects of the Crown, let alone know that Elizabeth II was specifically crowned Queen of Australia.

Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, Queen of Australia and Her other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth.

Not sickening or illegal, IMHO, just a little bit tacky, but people have that right.

In terms of kids and guns, I allow my children to look at and hold "deadly weapons." I even allow them to shoot them on occasion. Interesting thing about that, the guns don't hold much allure to them because they are not forbidden fruit. Not allowing a kid to see or hold guns is asking for an accident to happen should they ever get a chance to do so.

When push came to shove, the Brits wanted American guns to arm the home guard early in WWII.

Those are some lucky kids. That's some serious hardware!

Anyway, I think someone's father never took him shooting. Now the poor little lad hates on the rest of us.

So I take it that means operation fast and furious is over and Obama is no longer personally supplying them with weapons?
