based on what-that it would put gun shows out of business (this was the main reason for waiting periods btw) why should someone who already owns a gun have to wait?
What data do you have to support that? Would that waiting period be reasonable for persons who already own guns?
No doubt you'll readily agree a 10 day waiting period and registration of home computers is reasonable. Same goes for registering down that the court house to have a birthday party for 15 people.
I think we can chalk this one up as a win. You have been given the specific laws and the specific data to back up those laws and you have no response. Have a great night
You're the authoritarian. I'm the Constitutionalist. It's up to people like you push for restricting the rights of others....although I can see why you'd be reluctant to deprive yourself of a right that you actually like. Hypocrisy aside, it's still a bad idea to set precedent requiring government approval to exercise any right.
Me too. Four words: Better mental health care. Since you only want to ban guns, I doubt your motives and your veracity.
"Feel free to push for that....I see no data on that" Do you see data on what makes a 10 day waiting period reasonable?
Can you answer the question on what makes 10 days reasonable? You stated that twice here. Do you make assumptions without reasoning?
its typical-no real evidence and dancing around the obvious. He still hasn't answered why a waiting period should apply to current gun owners or why 10 days is a magic number
we got a win over on the other board, maybe we get a permanent one here. what did YOU win? You seem reticent to tell us why we "need" a waiting period for someone who already owns a gun
Its a fallacy. Doctor tells a patient to lose weight. The patient asks for a study showing that losing 20 pounds is better than 15
I'm glad you have something to feel good about yourself about even if it's fabricated. I'd hate for you to be depressed and, well, you know.
You said it was "very reasonable". Were you lying, or do you have reason to think so that it is "very reasonable"? What makes it "very reasonable"? Its mere existence? Is "extremely reasonable" better for suicide prevention than "very reasonable"? If the entire point is to save lives, why stop at 10? You're leaving lives on the table.
