The owners are going to have to pick a side. Either let the players hijack every pregame and tick off part of the fans or get them all in line and take backlash from the other side. I think Jerry Jones would have settled the issue in Dallas and not lost much support if he cracked down on the Cowboys and said that his stadium will not host protests and anybody disrupting his team to make a political statement can pack their bags. Of course, he just upsets everybody by trying to straddle the fence. He's going to slip and take it in the wallet eventually, just like the rest.

By drawing the line in the sand, the players will fire themselves if that's what they want.

Uh....we are talking about professional football players. You are free to believe peaceful civil disobedience is moronic....and I am free to make the obvious analogy

 

I have yet to see one player injured by this in any real way

 

In this case the players are moronic for several reasons

First the protests are based on a lie that Anerica is a racist nation that misteats black people

And the protests do not belong on the same stage as a sporting event

And many others didn't

Stop equating rosa parks with a black thug with gold teeth a comb in his hair and pants so low the crack of his ass is showing

If America did not have an overwhelming sense of fairness blacks would still be riding at the back of the bus

 

I see no pro football players with a comb in their hair. That fairness extends to the ability to peacefully kneel during the anthem

I never said that a player was "injured". They wouldn't be "injured" if the team owner told them to suck it up and stand at attention with hand on heart for the anthem either. I have to do a lot worse at my job in order to keep my job.

 

But no owner will dare do that

 

They will eventually. Fans are getting upset over this and their money talks.

 

Yes I am saying that patriotism is a fundamental component of national politics on all sides of the partisan divide (many nations have many political parties, not just two).

Patriotism is but a grand expression of tribalism.

The NFL players are disrespecting our country

She's not big enough to carry a bunch of black millionares around on her back

 

I'm guessing that the players are not indespensible to the lives of the paying publc

The NFL will survive but with a smaller fan base than before
