There are albino blacks.
There are good female mechanics, good male babysitters, good Asian fpotball players... A logical person can see this and also see why betting on the black team makes sense, or putting your toddler with a female teacher makes sense, or leaving your transmission in the hands of a guy makes sense.

the point I was making is that Jesus would look like a Palestinian Muslim than anything else. Since you people are so into looks, you would first accuse Jesus of being a terrorist sympathizer, and then accuse him of being a liberal because he was visiting people you deem undesirable, aka blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Muslims, etc.

 

The point that was being made was that Jesus should correcting be played by a black, a Negroid. That is absurd if he existed at all he would have be a Caucasian and we would have no idea exactly how dark or light his complexion.

 

Caucasian, as well as black is very vague. For instance, Hallie Barry is technically Caucasian, so is Barack Obama, because both of them at one parent who was Caucasian.

If Jesus was to be portrayed in a film, like King of Kings or The Greatest Story Ever Told, his appearance would be the least of the issues, wouldn't it.

Caucasian and Negroid are not especially when it comes to the issue here. It is fallacious to claim that in order for a film about the character Jesus to be historically correct he should be played by a Negroid, there is no debate on that subject. He would have been a Caucasian so a Caucasian portraying him is historically correct and Negroid portraying him would not be.

 

Film is entertainment, not a documentary. The impact of the story is more important than who plays what.

I bet all of you would cry fowl if a white actor was cast as Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, or Mahatma Gandi. And yet you expect us to just accept the black usurpation of Annie.

 

For over 1000 years, Jesus has been portrayed as a white anglo with blonde hair with very little resistence from the non-white community. You don't really think Semitic, Middle Eastern Jesus looked like this - do you ?

 

Jesus is portrayed in many different ways; each race tends to portray him as one of them. I have seen Ethiopian Jesus' as well as Vietnamese Jesus'. This is not a simple case of whites being the baddies.
