    Yup.

His entire contract has been voided, lost $30 million guaranteed.

After this, I wonder which team will take a chance on him?

@Andrew Jackson perhaps you could clarify why exactly a term used in a negative way towards Whites is not a racial slur? Perhaps if you bet your forum membership on it you might respond?

    Opinions can differ.

If people want to consider "cracker" a racial slur, that is certainly their right.
(It means nothing to me either way).

In the current atmosphere of Ultra-PC, would any of you advocate that all food boxes containing the word "cracker" be removed from store shelves?

Is the word "RITZ" now considered a "racial slur"?

Anyway, the whole issue is settled..

    1) AB has been released

    2) People are free to believe what they want about the word "cracker".:salute:

True enough, but you've given your opinion yet seem oddly resistant to explaining how your logic got you to that conclusion when every definition of the term says otherwise. Basically, you've been proven wrong yet again and the rest of us are enjoying you squirming about like a worm on a hook.

Also, sure is funny how you aren't quoting the person you're responding to, as Army Soldier noted. Funny how Jake Starkey does that too, someone who often agrees with you.

    Hmm.

Calling a white person a "cracker" is the same as a white person calling a black person a "n----r". How sad. Brown is nothing but an ignorant racist. Hopefully, no one in the NFL will pick him up. I sure wouldn't want him on my team. He's nothing but trouble.

I'm from the south and "cracker" is a racial slur. When a black person calls a white person a "cracker", it's the same thing as a white person calling a black person a "n----r".

A team with 3 Superbowl rings and 26 HOFs is far from a joke.

Yeah sure, right after spewing vulgarities and threatening to punch him in the face, he called him a snack. LOL!

Given some of the opinions in this thread, it seems that the only reasonable solution is to ban the word "cracker" from being used in the United States.

Anyone using the word in public, or in any other place that it could reasonably offend someone (including online--if the perp can be positively identified) should be subjected to a mandatory 2-year federal prison term.

Also, the word "cracker" can not be used for any purpose (even as a description of an edible food product).

Food manufacturers will be given a reasonable time to deplete any remaining stock containing the word "cracker" on the packaging.

Since it seems clear that the word "cracker" (apparently--from what I have seen in this thread) is an Egregious "Racial Slur" (A Hundred Times Worse that the N-Word), passing this legislation must become a top priority.

I, personally, will do my part--I will never again utter the word "cracker" in any context,

I will use a word like "Saltine" (assuming, of course, that "Saltine" is not also considered a "racial slur").

    As far as AB?

He is claiming that he never used the word:

Citation needed for your Reductio ad adsurdum logical fallacy. No one has claimed it worse, just that it simply IS a racial slur.

Keep digging that hole for yourself, AJ. It sure is entertaining for the rest of us looking down at you while you dig it. As it usually is. And you can bet your membership on that.

It’s a repulsive franchise with no true home and popular in gang culture.

I was referring to the New England commit.

The Raiders are the Raiders...they are a great football program, they just play rough.

Now my skins...they are horrible..and New England cheats

If you can't play for the Raiders, you ain't gonna play for anyone. I seriously doubt anyone is going to take him. He's 31 years old.

He is a fool for risking his income and his brilliant career with such an emotional outburst, but he is probably still far too good at his job for management to let him go.

Somebody will take a chance on him.

But, yes--He is a Total FOOL for losing the $30 million in guarantees.

If he had just kept his mouth shut, and showed up, he would have his money.

Big loss for the Raiders also.

AB was the sort of Big Name Marquee Talent that would've fit well in Vegas.

Popular in gang culture, what a crock of ****. It is also a team with 3 Super Bowl rings which means there are only 6 teams that are better.

    1 playoff appearance since 2002.
    Last Super Bowl 1983

Sorry, the franchise history may not be a joke, but they've been little but in the past 15+ years...

I live in Washington, owned by quite possibly the worst owner in sports history (Sports! Not just the NFL) so I'm somewhat familiar with jokes.

For the record, I haven't been a Redskin fan since the late 80's....

A team that has had only one winning season in the last sixteen is definitely a joke, and counting Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Ronnie Lott, Ron Mix, Warren Sapp, Eric Dickerson as Raider hall of famers is laughable.

    Last Super Bowl win 1984.

They last played in the Super Bowl in 2002.

How many teams have won a Super Bowl in the last 15yrs?

We crushed the Deadskins in 1984 Super Bowl.
