Yep and honestly the whole Gordon reinstatement seemed fishy to me too!

NONE, that would be (even remotely) as visceral as the N-Word.

According to who? Calling me a cracker would be more painful to me than if you called me a ******. Its a matter of perspective. Take a look at that, I can call myself a horrible racial slur, and all the world can see it, but even mentioning another racial slur in passing is protected, how racist is that...

Maybe some people have a Thicker Skin?

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree?

No biggie, either way. Carry on. :salute:

Apparently crackers have the thickest skin, they haven't forced anyone to blur out the word to spare their feelings. Talk about thin skinned, censorship is anathema to freedom...

Context is everything, or do also propose we eliminate the words colored and ***** from our vocabulary?

Who cares if someone calls you a ***? (Pronounced ph-ag)

There is NO comparison to the N-word, that black people call each other dozens of times a day.

It's the white version of N*****. A non-white using that word (especially if the white target was poor) has had the same nasty outcome just as often as as a non-black using N***** in my experience. The only way it's not a racial slur is if you're talking about Floridian cowboys.

    Oops:

"New England Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown has been accused of rape by a former trainer.

Britney Taylor says Brown sexually assaulted her on three occasions, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in the Southern District of Florida.

Brown has denied the allegations. Darren Heitner, a lawyer representing Brown, told The Associated Press his client plans to countersue.

"He will pursue all legal remedies to not only clear his name, but to also protect other professional athletes against false accusations," Heitner said in a statement.

Heitner said Brown and Taylor had "a consensual personal relationship."

The New York Times first reported about the lawsuit.

The AP does not ordinarily name the alleged victims of sex assaults, but Taylor was identified in the federal lawsuit and was quoted in a statement provided by her lawyer, David Haas."

I wonder if he gets the Kavanaugh treatment.

Reading the actual complaint....they have text messages and present some in the complaint(Kavanaughs accuser never had anything close to that). If they are truly from him, he’s going to lose this civil case. I do wonder why criminal charges weren’t filed though.

Not really, I'm just pretending to be Capt. Obvious. I think much of the anger is misdirected. Some is in the right place.
