That's her problem, because Pelosi can't tell the folk in her district how to vote...unless the Dems are going to pull voter suppression crap a'la' the GOP.

Dude, repeating this ad nausea doesn't change the fact that the right wingers just ignore the parts they don't like and focus on what backs up their contentions.

No, she did not. Like it or not, Reagan used this ONE example and portrayed it like the rule and NOT the exception. Funny that, being in reality the majority of welfare recipients are single parent white women.

Taylor's own racial reality is much harder to pin down, however. Born Martha Miller, she was listed as white in the 1930 Census, just like everyone else in her family. But she had darker skin and darker hair. People who knew her family told Levin that she had Native American ancestry. One of her husbands, who was black, said she could look like an Asian woman at times. Another earlier husband and ostensible father to some of her children was white, and during that marriage she gave birth to kids who alternately appeared black, unmistakably white, or racially ambiguous. At times she posed as a Jewish woman. In one photo, she has long, blonde hair.

"She was white according to official records and in the view of certain family members who couldn't imagine it any other way," Levin writes. " She was black (or colored, or a Negro) when it suited her needs, or when someone saw a woman they didn't think, or didn't want to think, could possibly be Caucasian."

It's not easy to get agreement on actual fraud levels in government programs. Unsurprisingly, liberals say they're low, while conservatives insist they're astronomically high. In truth, it varies from program to program. One government report says fraud accounts for less than 2 percent of unemployment insurance payments. It's seemingly impossible to find statistics on "welfare" (i.e., TANF) fraud, but the best guess is that it's about the same. A bevy of inspector general reports found "improper payment" levels of 20 to 40 percent in state TANF programs — but when you look at the reports, the payments categorized by the inspector general as either "eligibility and payment calculation errors" or "documentation errors"), rather than intentional fraud by beneficiaries.

Reagan's example was a white female felon. AOC's criticism of Reagan, like most criticism of Reagan was uninformed.

    MSM = Fake News

AOC, fell for Fake News. The only cure for persistent Fake News is the facts.

Here are the facts - again: "Though Reagan was known to stretch the truth, he did not invent that woman in Chicago. Her name was Linda Taylor, and it was the Chicago Tribune, not the GOP politician, who dubbed her the “welfare queen.” It was the Tribune, too, that lavished attention on Taylor’s jewelry, furs, and Cadillac—all of which were real."
SLATE, The Welfare Queen, In the 1970s, Ronald Reagan villainized a Chicago woman for bilking the government. Her other sins—including possible kidnappings and murders—were far worse., By Josh Levin, DEC. 19 2013.

In fact, Pelosi was conceding that AOC could win election in her district if she was a "glass of water" with a "D" on it.

Democrats are not above using voter suppression, vote fraud or any other tactic to rig an election. Surely you know that by now.

Trump focused on his RP opponents and The Clintons like a laser during his campaign.
Obama, Romney, Flake and his other critics were just collateral damage.

Surely given your demonstrated denial of reality and insipid stubbornness via repeating a moot point, you're not trying to condescend to someone, are you?

Now pay attention: I just stated to the other fellow that his assuredness that Pelosi will quash an AOC re-election if she bucks the party line is seriously premature, unless she does order a fast one....you know, like they did to Sanders in California. IMHO, if she tries that crap in NYC, she and the DNC are in for a rude awakening at this stage of the game.

Is the sky blue in your world?
When it was obvious that Obama was the front runner for the Dem nomination, the Orange Oaf jumped on that bandwagon with both feet. A matter of fact, a matter of history.

Focus: Reagans comments about welfare abuse were not racist. AOC is a victim of Fake News and now routine ineffective political slander.

Here again is the apparently inconvenient truth: "Though Reagan was known to stretch the truth, he did not invent that woman in Chicago. Her name was Linda Taylor, and it was the Chicago Tribune, not the GOP politician, who dubbed her the “welfare queen.” It was the Tribune, too, that lavished attention on Taylor’s jewelry, furs, and Cadillac—all of which were real."

LOL! What did Democrats do when the DNC kicked Bernie to the curb? You think AOC is more durable than Sanders?
The DNC, NYDP, NYCDP, WaPo/Bezos, NYT .... will all do everything they can to destroy AOC. And they can do a lot of damage.

Is AOC clean enough and strong enough to survive politically? I certainly hope so. ;-)

And as you can see, dear readers..Ddyad takes some childish delight in getting a response...any response....the chronology of the posts shows that once he is FACTUALLY PROVEN WRONG VIA HISTORICAL DOCUMENTATION AND ANALYSIS in drawing his conclusion by parroting ad nausea his blinders wearing moot point, he has nothing else but insipid stubbornness to fall back on.

RACISM DOES NOT ALWAYS PRESENT ITSELF IN CLEAR, DEFINITIVE, NO UNCERTAIN TERMS....which is why you have such nomenclature as "dog whistle" politics. This was explained by the links I provided. that Ddyad refuses to acknowledge such is irrelevant.

So unless he has something new to bring to the table, I'll leave him with the last predictable word and move on.

Translation: Ddyad couldn't not logically or factually refute or disprove the content of the link provided, so he just blows smoke and parrots right wing slogans and mantras. Sad, but not unpredictable at this point. So unless Ddyad has something beside insipid stubbornness to offer, I'll just move on and let him have the last predictable word.

Pay attention to the chronology of the posts....YOU made a statement regarding Trump and Obama that was patently untrue, as I proved. Obviously you don't have the intellectual maturity and courage to concede that point. As for Reagan, that was already answered...something else you just can't concede via insipid stubbornness and denial of history. So unless you've got something new, I'd say we're done here.

Newsflash for ya, my chuckling friend....Sanders is running again, and has SUPPORT. By your demonstrated standards, he shouldn't have. Once again, you're wrong.

Currently, right wing groups are mounting a campaign to down AOC regarding the Amazon deal. TFB if you or the political machine don't like it, because it was THE LOCAL BUSINESS/GENERAL COMMUNITY who didn't want it, as they are all too familiar with the gentrification that follows....let alone the massive tax burden that would be placed on NYC via tax breaks given to Amazon.

AOC did what a politician should do, FOLLOW THE WISHES OF HER CONSTITUENTS!

Now run a-along and play your DINO games somewhere else, as you're pretty much done here.

Any "right winger" that is not praising AOC for smacking down Amazon/Bezos, and the DPNY/NYC is very ungrateful. ;-)

Sanders is running. The DP will make sure he is not nominated. Alas.

    I'm not ignoring this:

    .
I borrowed this from another poster in another thread. I'm sure he won't mind. It is just too mind-numbingly dumb to be a one-thread post. I'm wondering what will happen first. Will Guam tip over or will the end of the world come in 12 years? People with IQ's as low as would be required to say something this stupid wandering the Halls of Congress is truly frightening.

If I had made a statement that was patently untrue I would've conceded the point, and you would've pasted up the false statement again. ;-)

I don't think the GOP should go there. Here's an example:

    https://www.rollingstone.com/politi...gers-said-in-2013-37687/antonin-scalia-30392/

The AOC on Reagan's dog whistle racism was on target. Deal.
