She was 11 years old, for crying out loud -- WAAAY too early to be a mother. You cannot seriously say that an 11 year old girl (not woman) has an obligation to give birth when she was raped.

News flash - a hell of a lot of other citizens think the rules for abortion are heinous and are getting worse by the year. Some states provide cover for snuffing out a baby that was carried to term and survived an attempted abortion. THAT IS EVIL. Anyone who'd make excuses for that is EVIL.

 

If you read that thread I referred you to, they actually only made her remain pregnant for a time period of one month.

The birth was via C-section. And the little girl did not actually specify herself whether or not she wanted an abortion, but only told doctors to "take it out" of her, which they eventually did do (once the baby could survive).

You talk about "choice", but in saying that this little girl should have been given an abortion, you seem to want to make the choice for her.

 

I do not really care how or when it was done. She was a child who was raped and I thought that everyone at least were in full agreement that abortion is always justified in such an extreme case.

But, I guess anti-lifers always gon' anti-life.

She didn't tell doctors to kill it... she just told doctors to take it out of her... which they eventually did.

Very few 11 year olds know what an abortion even is. I certainly did not and I would expect it is even rarer in a Catholic, anti-abortion nation like Argentina.

The fact that the little girl heard an argument about why not to choose death for her baby, and then that she did not specifically mention death when doctors asked her what she wanted concerning her pregnancy, seems to indicate to me that she did not actually specifically make the request for abortion.

 

Well, then her choice was not violated.
The doctors did end up doing what she wanted to be done.

 

Your total and complete lack of compassion for a BORN CHILD is only matched by your complete lack of knowledge of pregnancy and what it can do, even in ONE MONTH, to the tiny body of an 11 year old.

 

Where's your sympathy for the one in the womb?

 

An 11 year old BORN CHILD does not have the understanding of what pregnancy or abortion is.


She may not know what having her tonsils out but if her parents decide she should have them out, out they come....an 11 year old can't decide for herself and should have been protected from depraved minds..
