I know during the war, all freed blacks that fought for the Union were either imprisoned or killed if they requested the same pay as white men. Nathan Bedford Forrest also changed after the war and denounced the KKK that he'd started, and he was the first white man to speak at the Independent Order of Pole-Bearers Association.

He also used runaway slaves to mend garments, clean uniforms, and cook for the white Union soldiers during the war. You see, he hated slavery unless he was benefiting from it.

Yes you. Owned. You ran away from it the first time.

And you never were able to prove the Texas board knew they had changed the word slave to something else and you couldn't explain why only the Ohio publish was the only one to apologize. But considering you ran before, this isn't a surprise.

At no point in the Bible does it state that the earth is only 6,000 years old, nor does it lead you to believe such.

So what DO the geneologies add up to then? If they don't add up to the scientifically-correct number of years of humanity's existence on this planet then the Bible got it wrong....and if the Bible got it wrong then Jesus is not real and you are not going to "survive your own death". See, Jesus approved of Adam/Eve, so Jesus is on board with the Biblical account of humanity. So of course Jesus was wrong.

Too bad Jesus isn't real, or sometime w/in the last 2000 years he would have simply lifted his all-powerful fingers and told us that slavery was wrong. In the Bible he never said that, even though the Bible approves of slavery, and Jesus at least accepted slavery in the Bible itself.

The reason the Biblical authors didn't tell us the actual age of the earth is because they didn't actually know that fact, nor did they also know "where we go when we die", nor "what our purpose on earth is", nor any other big question. They. Were. Fools.

Whoa, whoa, whoa - are you trying to tell us that black people are no more moral than white people are? But, but, but, I thought that all whites were racists, and that blacks can't be racists!

We can disagree on certain things, but I'm pretty sure that we can BOTH AGREE that if we had Jesus' alleged super-powers that we would have said "write this down, end slavery w/in the next 30 years". Right? Can we agree on that, Thirty6BelowZero? That would have made the world a better place, of course. On that there is no doubt.

    LOLZ

If any democrat ever said the Egyptian pyramids were elaborate grain silo's, (that one still cracks me up)
that the ACA is *worse* than Jim Crow,
that “every signer of the Declaration of Independence had no elected office experience," (and when confronted with this glaring error, Carson made this correction: He meant to say Federal office. [IMG]) ,
That he was offered a "full scholarship" to a free school,
or this precious gem: "take your wallet out and pull out a one dollar bill, look on the back of it. You'll see a Star of David there. Most Americans don't know it's there."
    Yow!
or any of the other ka-Razy other wild-ass whackadoodle things Carson's said and believes, not just gaffes -- yeah, I'd call them wild-ass crazy.

Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam might be just as racist as the vile KKK is.

Well, I really did not predict those. Even though I am glad it worked out that way. I said the winner of the election would depend on voter turnout.

Mohammad said to "KILL those who leave their Islamic religion" (yes, that's certainly "terrorizing their own people"), so they have a role model for that in Mohammad. They are just following the example set by their prophet, just like Christians who were slave-owners were following in the example of the heroes of the Bible who were of course FOR slavery - even Jesus never spoke out against slavery, as he was complicit.

Slavery was legal in America so the abolitionists couldn't forcibly deport blacks at that time because they would have been guilty of stealing other people's property. They had to sell the ACS plan as voluntary until they gained the upper hand. Then the war happened and Lincoln got killed. The war debt was too big of a burden to take on the cost of shipping the blacks out of the country. As it was the Repubs refused to raise taxes to pay off the cost of the war and they put it on the credit card. So today we have a $20 Trillion national debt because of that practice.

If Lincoln had lived he would have been able to sell the idea of complete mass deportation.

Yes, that's because the Bible/Jesus accepted slavery.

To be fair, Mohammad didn't know right from wrong either (as he also accepted slavery, and enslaved people.) Apparently Allah/Mohammad/God/Jesus don't know right from wrong - so obviously we don't want to follow them. To follow someone who doesn't know right from wrong is to have incredibly low self-esteem.

Sure, Lincoln was against slavery and he may have even wanted them to be free people. He just didn't want them in America. Guys like Washington & Jefferson were big on freedom and liberty but they did absolutely nothing to extend it to black people. So Lincoln was a step up from them but he never wanted millions of black people, ignorant or educated, living free in America and competing with white people.

Can anyone provide any citation of Lincoln's where he ever expressed the idea of black people becoming citizens with equal rights?

If he had lived he would have been able to deport all of them. The Northerners would have made him a king.
