I think it's clear that millions are ready to compel me to do something when doing or not doing that something doesn't affect them.

 

I fully agree with you on that. It’s just that I am not one of those millions you refer to. I fight lockdowns and mask mandates wherever I can and will regarding any vaccine passport as well. I voluntarily got the vaccine but have no intention of compelling anyone else to do so.

What happens if another "deadly" virus pops up, are we gonna need another passport for that one also if they make a new vaccine? SARS, H1N1, Covid, etc. - some new virus seems to emerge every few years, usually from that wonderful place called China.

 

You don't need anything. The program is voluntary.

That's a reasonable concern, and if there is a test available that shows immunity from a previous infection, people should be issued the passports. The change in language is likely due to the fact the virus is a year old. We don't know how long immunity lasts from infection. Just because you had the flu last year doesn't mean you won't get it this year, and covid is probably the same. They need to approach it that way.
