No, stating the fact that the media broadcasted Trump's speeches from start to end is NOT proving that they didn't take him out of context! Are you saying that after the speech, commentators like Rachel Maddow and Don Lemon were somehow prevented from taking him out of context? You're not making sense!

So Fox News never took Obama out of context? :roflol:

He told alot of lies, but he was also accused of lying when he wasn't. The reason? He was taken out of context.

Just like Obama did with Fox News! The only news outlet which did their job during the Obama years!:roflol:

He called it a genocide and that it will have consequences, so I'm not sure what you are talking about "unaccountable". Or maybe you (like the OP) are not up to date what has, and has not been said about the issue.

    Moving the goal posts?

You claimed the media never provided context to Trumps comments, and I proved you wrong, so now you are moving the goal posts aka change your argument.

I don't listen to hacks like Maddow and Lemon, but its you who is not making sense, and its because you change your argument as soon as you are proven wrong.

Ah, the "BUT OBAMA" argument.....I didn't say anything about Obama. Having said that, FOX is well known for taking things out of context.

    BU-BU-BUT OBAMA!!!!

Yea, I remember Glenn Beck 'doing his job' by talking about the imminent hyper-inflation, mass-uemployment, muslim takeover, brown shirt armies, food riots, city people raiding farms, DOW hitting 500 points etc. The TAN SUIT scandal. None of it happened of course, but he did what they paid him to do.

Obama didn't waste too much time pointing out the nonsense, but Trump NEVER stopped whining about the media.

What I'm talking about is the CCP being the greatest threat to the world right now. I'm talking about the fact that the world needs to remove that government ASAP. The Wuhan virus should have killed the CCP. This should be easy . They are responsible for this pandemic that has ravaged us.

Saying things like "different norms led us here is EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what we should be doing. That statement is meant to downplay the threat that that government represents. Joe should be shouting to the world, "See, this is what you get from a communist government; they are dangerous because that system has no opposition, and can therefore eliminate an ethnic class with zero public relations repercussions."

Like a one world government against the Chinese government? I don't like the sound of it, but clearly you do.

Only an idiot would start shouting. Biden said it's a genocide and that is will have consequences. I don't know what part of that you struggle to comprehend.

Sure seems like you, like the OP, are lapping up the media propaganda who tells you what to think about this. Everything you say revolves around one out of context word.

It doesn't seem to take much to get people think certain way, and to be afraid of non-existing threats.

Shame on the NY Post for misrepresenting Biden's remarks.
Though Biden did say that the two countries have different cultural norms, that was merely stating a fact, not, "dismiss(ing)," China's actions. It was China's leader Xi Jinping-- who Biden was quoting-- who was trying to do that.

To be completely fair, Biden was obviously avoiding giving a direct answer but, also to be fair, the article ends on a Biden quote that sums it all up much better than the Post: "But it’s much more complicated than that, I shouldn’t try to talk China policy in 10 minutes on television here.”

That one word is indicative that Joe is on the wrong thought track. It attributes the atrocities to a vague thing called cultural norms. That is NOT the reason that this genocide continues. It's the structure of their government. It's the same structure that can prevent WHO and world health experts from traveling to the source (where this government just happens to have a major biolab) of a pandemic that has ravaged the world, for over a year...and suffer zero public relations consequences. This lack of accountability so obviously has the potential to get us killed, and has. Different norms, and Joe's entire remarks are so off base it's not even funny.

Fact: A virus came from China, from a city with a major biolab, it ravaged the world, and the CCP refused to let the world's brightest minds, who want to solve/prevent this crisis, in there for over a year!

This would be enough to topple almost any government in the world. But not the CCP. If they can do this with impunity, do you think the uighurs stand a chance?

I read the whole context. Joe's meandering babble doesn't even come close to what needs to be said.

Anytime our leaders aren't using language that describe the threat is nonsense. The CCP is the most dangerous threat to the world since the Nazis. A worldwide pandemic AND a genocide. That's not enough for you? Biden and our leaders are Chamberlains, and we need a Winston badly.

Oh yeah? Ol' coherent Trump focused on beating up China re Covid (useless and distraction from his inadequacy) and tariffs (useless strategy) while ignoring military build-up and genocide.

Look forward to a coherent debate when some Ex-Trumpers remove head from derriere.

Well - is a serious question - how involved do we let "human rights" get into our Economic agenda .

I think we interned a few Muslims here in the US did we not - Gitmo - Least China is not sending them out for Extra - Ordinary Rendition - and doing it in house.

China has a long history of sending folks to "re-education camps" often it is the politicians - everytime one side wins - many on the other side get send for Re-education.

The last guy - Jiang - zhang Xiang however his name is spelt .. that guy .. was sent to the camps twice ... went from cleaning toilet with toothbrush to the head cheese.. Don't like the new guy as much ..

Not sure what level of nastiness is happening to the Uhrgars who will not assimilate - don't think it will be mass extermination though.

Where is the line ? - lots of bad behavoir on our end that folks could say were human rights abuses - Serious war crimes committed over the last decade - Yemen hit the radar but this is nothing in comparison to Syria .. Way too many nations involved - big mess - but the piper will be paid on that one at some point.. Biggest war crime of the Decade for sure.

Brother El Saud is always getting us into Trouble .. that bastion of civil liberties that we want to bless Yemen and Syria with.

See some big Logs in my own eye .. and this is problem. Judge not lest ye be judged...and we got some hell to pay - should Karma have its way.

This isn't about your Trump v Dems Hollywood play. I'm done with it; it's time for adult talk. The CCP has proven to be very dangerous to the entire world. Biden's comments do not reflect a recognition of that danger. It's that simple.

I consider the comparison between the US capture of combatants on the battlefield to the CCP imprisoning Uighurs as so ludicrous it's not even offensive.

First off - this is cherry picking - as the comparison - while valid - was not the main thrust. - and there were much better examples given of human rights abuses .. that was a minor one... and you ignoring the major one's is what is offensive .. in an attempt to divert down this rabbit hole .. of fallacious gibberish.

Many were not "Combatants" .. it was a mass round up .. did you not know .. one of Heir Mueller's dirty deeds to be sure. in the US .. but this was global .. and it was not pretty .. never heard about the extraordinary rendition...gone wrong ?

So your claim that I made such a comparison - is a falsehood to begin with .. and starting with that is never good ... kind of "so ludicrous it is not even offensive" .. Right Mate : :oldman::hippie::hiding:

I am not even worried about the economics. I am pragmatic. I think about what would I do if I were the other side. What that would be would be, "Okay, US, you take them" as I loaded up the boats and pushed them off toward Alaska. It would be a hell of a bad scenario. We would either be taking in radical Islamists or we wouldn't in which case we would look like the biggest hypocrites on the planet. It would destroy the US as a global leader without needing to fire a single shot.

The Chinese have been treating Uigures badly for years and the world didn't come to an end, so to suddenly say that the treatment of Uigurs makes China the greatest danger since the Nazis borderline absurd. Well.....its not borderline absurd, its flat out absurd.

Our Boys .. sure you have heard of them ..was the newest state so far .. but didn't last long - the Islamic State in Syria .. what a joyful creation that was.

You know, neighbor, you almost sound like you're excusing CONCENTRATION CAMPS. TBH, I think fundamentalist Islam is a real threat to the world but I wouldn't agree to concentration camps for ANYONE. Any government that would do this today is a government the entire world should ostracize.
