The most recent fauxtroversy involves the Puerto Rican creator of the musical Hamilton 'failing' to include an Afro-Latino in his new film "In the Heights," which i set in Washington Heights. The film is filled with Latinos and Latinas, as well as black Americans, but that was considered to have lacked 'inclusivity' by the far-left extremists.

So Maher, a frequent and vocal critic of 'cancel culture,' once again tried to talk reason into the radical left by saying "You're the guy who made the Founding Fathers black and Hispanic!" he continued. "I don't think that you have to apologize to Twitter! For f***'s sake." This is why people hate Democrats," he added. "It's cringy."

    https://republicandaily.net/2021/06...ke-bullies-over-latest-cancel-culture-victim/

Video of Maher in the link speaking of this clown. While Maher is spot on here with one of the reasons why people 'HATE' Democrats, he must also be well aware that there are a boatload of reasons why people hate Democrats, Progressives, Liberals, Socialists, Marxists, Communists and other extreme radical far-left lefties. Methinks that the ultra liberal Maher just might be contemplating moving over to the sound and sane Republican Party.

GET REAL Bill Maher is just like Carlson 0r Hannity trying to stir up controversy where none exists for self promotion. I have never heard of the movie as I bet 99% of our population haven't and I certainly haven't or won't be seeing it. Total load of complete bullshit.

Don't forget about the movie Crazy Rich Asians, there were no Afro-Asians in that movie either.

Wow, a leftist who claims he never heard of 'Hamilton'. For starters, Its a musical not a movie. For the 99% of liberals who do know about Hamilton, I sure would hope they has heard Bill Maher's take on it's creator's cancel culture statement. Perhaps in doing so that we'll begin to see some of these libs coming back to earth.

It looks like a lame movie trying to be like Greatest Showman with the music. There is not a single white person in the trailer and the main song fails to deliver the wow factor the Greatest Showman had for music.

The Greatest Showman was one of the greatest movies ever made and included people of all races and colors. I hope they make a 2nd one as planned. I own the first and can't get enough of the amazing music.

I guess whatever Maher said justifies you as a "Libhater". Oh, I forgot, you hate liberalism, not liberals, except when you agree with Maher. I wonder if your hating ways will get you into heaven.

I understand Maher's observations since he does tend to perform at a lot of college age venues, so he is sort of on the front lines of it. But as for myself, since I'm not in college, I rarely see this sort of cancel culture hysteria. Yes, I hear about them, but I would be seriously wasting my time chasing every Twitter and FB post and aggravating myself for nothing. 99% of these "cancel culture" items have zilch to do with me, and most have no real bite to them anyway, meaning there is no legal recourse to rectify the situation. It's pure propaganda for the most part.

I agree, Miranda should have not apologized, but it would not surprise me if who ever is his publicist talked him into it. Publicity and legal exposure play on the same court.

Mission accomplished as far as Bill Maher is concerned, it's HIS NAME that is all over the news, which is the main objective of all talk show hosts.

Where did I say that 'I' hate anyone? You obviously took me out of context because I love everyone especially liberals, progressives, socialists, Marxists and anyone that represents extreme radical leftism.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

He needs to apologize for not making the cast all white. Whites are model citizens in society and the role models in society should be white.

You're supporting the idea of people hating various large and diverse labels, including Democrats and liberals for no good reason. This may well be a reason some people hate Democrats but it's an irrational reason and their hatred should be challenged.

Nobody implicitly hates large groups because of the actions of one individual, they hate large groups because of the promotion of hatred towards large groups, based on individual acts, stereotypes or outright lies. And whether you're willing to accept it or not, you're very much part of that problem.

And what particular person would that be? My moniker as explained several times here specifically describes my hatred for all facets of un-American modern day liberalism. Hey, I don't even hate you. Now, can I get a hug?

Did the movie include any Mongolians, Tahitians or Paraguayan garbage collectors? You can't have enough diversity.

You couldn't be more wrong. For instance, I hate Nazism because of the fact that it led to the death of some 6 million Jews, but because of my Christian beliefs I could not and would never hate an individual like that of Hitler. In another example, I hate modern day liberalism not because it necessarily leads to the death of anyone, but because in my mind it's policies, acts and ideology are un-American in most if not all ways. Since this is a political forum, I feel that being up front with my views on anything pertaining to and describing American policy that is destructive in nature should be paramount as most if not all of my posts suggest.

So you don't believe the incident you talk about in the OP is a reason to hate Democrats or liberals? Yet you seem to support the idea, certainly not challenging or questioning it and even presenting it as a valid reason for someone to support a different political party.

Basically, your posts don't align with what you claim to believe all the times you get picked up on your references to hatred. You either need to do a better job expressing your true beliefs or you need to admit (if only to yourself) that you're not as high-minded as you might like to imagine.

I answered your question in post #19. If you were to get off this nonsense of questioning my supposed hatred of individuals by concentrating on dealing with the post's topic as told in the title "This is why People hate Democrats"--you might just get the overall message that Bill Maher (an ultra leftist) is getting fed up with the actions and beliefs of his own Democrat Party. This post isn't about me, or about my love of everyone....it's about revealing the utter dissatisfaction with the Democrat Party. Get it now?

Well I'm not sure what the actions of one filmmaker even has to do with a political party in the first place and your comments about Bill Maher's attitude to the Democrat party are entirely speculative.

I personally think the wilful promotion of generic bigoted hatred is a much more important take-away from the article and that's why I asked you whether you supported it as your OP appears to suggest (something you've still avoided answering directly).

I don't think this kind of thing is a reason people some hate Democrats (though it might be presented as a justification) and I don't think the all too common idea of hating Democrats (or Republicans, liberals, conservatives etc.) is a good thing so it should be strongly challenged when it is brought up. I also very much doubt anyone in their right mind would switch political parties just because they don't like "cancel culture", indeed, I don't see switching directly from one party to the other makes any sense at all.

You are aware that it isn't necessary to be a member of any political party? Maybe America would be in a better place if fewer people considered themselves definitively Democrat or Republican, and therefore weren't constantly encouraged to hate the other side.

Bill Maher is not wrong. Which is bad for those on the left who aren't this type of completely ridiculous.

But it does need to be considered that a small handful of people on Twitter with nothing better to do with their time than find things to be outraged about do not equal "the left". Just like the Trump election fraud narrative believers do not equal "the right". Although polling data suggests there's a much larger group of the latter than the former.
