BREAKING: Trump’s First Legislative Effort Fails as G.O.P. Pulls Bill to Repeal Obamacare

The Repubs needed direction up and running with all the obstruction and games the Demos play. This was a bill to get things started with. Starting the process. Vote for the bill, send it to the Senate.....wherein they will make changes which then would be sent back to the house.

That the Freedom caucus failed to do. Now those mopes are going to pay the price. There is no getting around it. They are being hammered and they will continue to be hammered.

They screwed the country over, small business over, The Real Conservatives over, and the Republican Party. They sided with Pelosi and the Cult. They will not be forgiven.

 

Its their bill and until they get it passed. There was no reason to talk with the Democrats until it came back from the Senate with whatever changes.

The Demos should have known this when that ran BO care thru without talking to Repubs.

The left wing republicans tried to present Obamacare-lite, thousands of voters called their reps and complained, and their reps voted against it. I'm glad someone stood up and made sure another crap health care bill wasn't shoved down our throats.

 

If that was the case they would have had the majority in voting against. That they didn't should tell you something. That BO care lite is nothing more than an excuse to pass the buck.

Moreover after the bill was tweeked.....addressing many of the Freedom Caucus' concerns. Leaves them no excuse. They were played to, given some things that they wanted.

Looking for a perfect bill.....is delusional. There is no such thing as a perfect bill.

And I am glad that many will make the Freedom Caucus pay the price. Half of them wont be returning to congress. Which means they wont have much of a chance to **** things up for a long long time. Going forward......they will be irrelevant. A fitting reward for joining in with the Demo Obstruction.

 

The “Freedom” Caucus handed the Obamanation of Desolation inevitable socialized medicine on a silver platter. All Democrats have to do is go all or nothing, and they know the “Freedom” Caucus has their back.

That is why we should look at Canada and Australia then do not do what they do.

We should look towards France, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands and others in Europe to see what they are doing right.

In general the only shorter wait times are for elective procedures not required ones in the US.

The truth is in the US compared to countries with universal coverage:

Life expectancy is shorter.

People are more likely to die from injury or disease.

People are less likely to get preventive care by a large margin.

Children under 1 year of age are more likely to die.

People with treatable conditions are more likely to die from them.

Cost are about 2x as much in the US, even before the ACA was passed.

We spent the largest % of GDP before the ACA was passed. We still do after.

The US is #1 in bankruptcy resulting from medical bills. Of course the number in those other countries is 0.

All point to something needs to be done. The Republican plan is not to fix the ACA or do anything about it. IMHO that is unacceptable, regardless of which party is responsible. They have control of the federal government they can do something and the Democrats can not stop them.

It's typical of trump apologists to try and turn his failures into success. His failure and looking like a weak, impotent clown is actually a good thing. If he can't even get his own party in line when they hold majorities, he's a failure. Remember when he said he'd cover everyone? He'd repeal and replace the ACA with "something terrific." All lies. I know in trump sycophant world, you are used to being lied to by this clown, but when he says one thing and does another that's called a lie. But remember it IS CHEAP. There has to be some minor incomnvieniences associated with reduced health care costs and universal coverage. What's an extra couple of hours lying on a gurney in the back of an ambulance. You're either very sick or injured it's not like you got a lot else you would be doing. As long as the Ambulance dudes have a good stereo in their rig. I have an idea, maybe the NHS could hire a hypnotist for the parking lot of each hospital. They could hypnotize the patients waiting in the ambulances to sleep. This way the wait for the patient would seem like a few seconds, not hours. The second benefit would be if they expire during the long wait, they won't be in any pain as they drift off into eternity.

It's economics. Obamacare is financially unsustainable. Even Bill Clinton had to admit it's complete rubbish. Having said that GOP's plan was rubbish too. The only person on both sides who has any brain is Rand Paul. He has good ideas but no one listens.

Furthermore, Gorsuch will be elected. That was part of the deal. Obama care stays, GOP gets the Supreme Court nominee passed. You don't believe me, do you?
