I think a Republican would be more likely to be in a building collapse and not be able to figure a way out....even if the door was open and he could walk out
ECHO.....ECHO...….ECHO...….. another Bizarre Scenario Thread bites the dust in a flurry of off topic posts
Researchers found that 18.0% of abortion patients identified themselves as "Born-again/Evangelicals" http://www.religioustolerance.org/abo_fact4.htm
If some of those who criticized slavery owned slaves, would that have weakened their message? Or in some ways would it have actually strengthened it?

It is UNETHICAL to be OPPOSED to the rights of others even when you disagree with them! It is UNETHICAL to ENSLAVE a woman and FORCE her to bear an UNWANTED child. It is UNETHICAL to bring an UNWANTED child into this world. Obviously those who HATE women's rights are embracing UNETHICAL guidelines.
Ironic coming from someone trolling the abortion forum with asinine hypothetical irrelevancies like this thread and many others.
Ha! If progressives took a dose of that medicine! You really don't have any moral high ground to be standing on when it comes to that claim. Not when those rights conflict with someone else. And therein lies the argument.
The people who most ardently support abortion would never dare write that into the Constitution. (But I'll be pleasantly surprised if they prove me wrong)
FoxHastings said: ↑ NO, the right to one's own body does NOT conflict with anyone else. I see you couldn't refute it
Sometimes you don't have to refute something when you can point out how obviously hypocritical it is.
I agree with you on the abuse of power by dems, but abortion laws are just as much of an abuse. Besides being unenforceable, it is an infringement on individual freedom.
The posts: Not when those rights conflict with someone else. So , since you cannot refute it you now call it hypocritical It isn't hypocritical and you could NOT refute it....and you can't show it's hypocritical....losing on both counts
You know as well as I do, FoxHastings, that Pro-Choicers are not Libertarians. Especially in the country YOU live in. The question is, what exactly do you mean when you refer to "the right to one's own body"? If by that you're only referring to abortion, then you would be right in the sense that your statement would then not be hypocritical in that way, but you'd be playing with semantic meanings.
When a person has a tooth pulled by others, the other is supposed to be trained and hold a license plus obtain local permits to do this task. Abortion is not pulling a tooth. It ends the life of a human, not yet fully developed. Even the courts have ruled that past a drop dead point, the abortion can not be permitted. This shoots down the argument she has the right at all times to the baby. I do not see the baby as her body. I also do not see tumors as her body. If she has 4 legs, those are all her body. If she wants only 2 legs, i believe her right to cut off the other 2 legs is sacred. But she won't do it. A professional does it. So does the professional have a right to her body that allows him to remove her body as silly posters call the baby inside her? I prefer to argue with males who have been party to abortions and see the damage it did to both them but the woman as well.
I was married twice. Wife one was pregnant for 9 months out of our 13 year marriage. How did she manage to hide the baby you claim is her body for all those years, yet during the happy 9 months prior to the birth, we both knew she was one human with a new human in her? Why did she hide from me all the many years she had a body in her that just never became our baby? Wife two adored being pregnant. I never understood why but she told me she loved it. She and i had one daughter. She had previously married and had 6 other children. She never confessed to me she had other bodies when she was not pregnant. When she was pregnant, the other body in her was not her body, but a new body. Why did she not inform me that all along it was just her body?
Maybe she only claims it as her own body when she wants to get rid of it, which has a lot of irony. Kind of like that bad lady in the story of Soloman who claimed the baby as her own so they would cut it in half.
