No ..........on the backs of Children too

Legislation to rescue the Children’s Health Insurance Program sailed through a Senate committee on Wednesday, but touched off a partisan conflict in the House, diminishing hopes that the popular program would be quickly refinanced.

Funding for the program expired on Sunday, and state officials said they would soon start notifying families that children could lose coverage if Congress did not provide additional money. It was impossible to say when Congress might pass a bill and send it to President Trump.

I don't think the Dem's will ever worry about deficit reduction.

I believe they will simply let the deficit keep growing.

So your thesis is totally flawed.

I just love to hear libs whine about the need for higher taxes, then cry like babies if they think they might have to pay them

Oh please. The Republicans enacted the tax cuts well before any of that

How do tax cuts cause an economy to turn quickly into recession?

And even THAT...amounted to less than a trillion dollars...

What really accounted for the bulk of that was

    Existing obligations
Loss of revenue from the Great Reseccion
    The Bush TAX CUTS

I don't believe anyone made that claim

The tax cuts simply added massively to the debt

Can you explain how allowing people to keep the money they earn is a cost?

I have a great way to get rid of debt. Enact an automatic 1% minimum tax. No more 50% of households paying no taxes.

They want your money and you cost them the chance to get their hands on it

Of course it has a cost. When you reduce revenue you add to the debt...just as the current tax cut (Donor Relief Act) is going to add a trillion and a half to the debt

At least Bush gave SOMETHING to those not rich...even though the bulk of his tax cuts went to the rich

This time it's almost ALL for the rich

    What does that even mean?

There is no question that the rich got way more than anyone else in Bush's tax cuts and none that they get virtually ALL of this one. In fact this one is going to COST millions of Americans (Republican and Democrat) money

What cuts in spending are your boys proposing?
You just want all the stuff and others to pay for it.

Oh so now you're a deficit hawk after adding 1.5 trillion to the debt?

I get it. Everything you want moves money from those who can least afford to lose any to those who can most afford it.

This in spite of the fact that virtually everyone agrees that income inequality is an issue.

The bulk of every tax cut goes to the rich. Thats because they earn more money.

So tax cuts are for the rich. Why would anyone who is not rich support them?
