Of course the assumption that all non citizens are illegal immigrants is false. And the assumption that all noncitizens crossed illegally across the southern border is false. And the fact that all noncitizens already in the US are going to disappear once the wall is built is false. And the assumption that the wall would stop all or most illegal southern border crossing is unproven.

So other than that you have made a great case for the wall paying for itself.

Figure out how much per year an illegal crosding the southern border actually costs if anything. The figure out how many will actually be stopped by the border and the average number of years they will stay. Then use the time value of money to figure out the number of years it will actually take to pay off whatever you actually think the real cost of the wall will be. Then post the numbers and we will discuss.

 

Nope. You have to do E-Verify coupled with massive fines and actual jail terms for the officers of the company. Then add a big bounty for turning in the employer/company and you habe a system that will work.

 

My understanding is that it was simply a State Department bureaucratic decision. Because until the 1960s birthright citizenship did not exist. No law, court ruling, or executive order ever justified it. In fact Native Americans were not citizens until the Snyder Act was passed in 1924. Obviously they were all born here, but did not qualify for citizenship under the 14th Amendment.

But it boggles to mind that an illegal immigrant drug smuggler's child is granted citizenship, while an ambassador's child is not.

 

I'm not adverse to fines and jail terms for employers after the roll out of mandatory E-Verify, but I'm not sure how much more that would help. Currently, it's already a felony to pay cash under the table because it's tax evasion, and without mandatory E-Verify, fraudulent documentation can be accepted because there is no legal requirement to verify it's authenticity. E-Verify takes care of that.

Since we have always known for a fact that the wall will pay for itself in short order, the only question to ask yourself is whether or not you want to drastically reduce the amount of illegal aliens, drugs, and sex slave trafficking of women and children into America.

If you want these things to continue at the same rate or maybe higher, keep scraping the bottom for excuses to stop the wall.

And the wall will never stop drug smuggling. Might raise prices temporarily but drugs can come by air, by ship, by truck, by car, or across the Canadian border. The thought that a wall that stops drugs being carried physically by individuals across the border is going to significantly dent the drug problem is absurd. As long as there is a demand a way to meet that demand will be found.

Oh and here for your education is a bit of information about how illegal get into the US. Probably more and better info out there but this would seem to support that 40% plus or minus of illegals currently living in the US have entered legally. Then add the ones who came through the checkpoints and you probably end up with a totally impermeable wall covering the entire border stopping somewhere around 50% or less.

IF you don't do jail terms the cost of fines just gets built into the business. And if the fines and jail terms are significant the employers will verify the documentation if for nonreason other than their own protection.

Get a tip line going with a nice reward and you see how quick a quy/gal that lost his job to a Illegal will turn them in.

This does not have be even a big secret. Hell, have a press conference on the white house lawn. Just the threat of doing so puts the dems on notice, build the wall or we start cracking down.
