And as usual this completely avoids addressing the content of my post. Who cares of Sahwa is banned.

How does this relate to the fact that Saudi Arabia armed and supported Al Qaeda and other extremist Islamist groups in Syria and fights along side them in Yemen ?

Saudi Arabia armed AQ in Afghanistan 30 years ago when the US was fighting the Soviets there.. and it was in their interest to do so at the time. The Saudis despise communism.

No they are NOT fighting along AQ in Yemen. That is a bald-faced lie.

    1) We are not talking about AQ in Afghanistan 30 years ago. KSA armed and supported Al Qaeda and the Islamist extremists that went on to form the modern incarnation of ISIS in Syria.

    2) Don't call me a liar because of your lack of knowledge. Al Qaeda is in Yemen, Al Qaeda fights in Yemen and they fight against the Houthi's. Al Qaeda fights on the same side as Saudi Arabia in Yemen. That is a fact.

It is Russia securing their strategic interests. Russia, like the US in past decades, happily uses friendly dictators to enhance its own position and maintain buffer zones between its territory and potentially hostile forces (US, NATO). China (+ Russia) has been doing likewise with North Korea; every other country in the region has been pro-American since WWII.

Your apologia for the Saudi dictatorship is not even good apologia. Not even a moron would be convinced by the arguments you put forth.

Margot I'm sure Saudi Arabia is lovely for those who can afford to go there and visit, but I'm sure it's not that nice for foreign workers, especially non Sunnis. But look that's an internal affair, and no one has the right to impose their own standards on others.

What I do condemn though, is what Saudi Arabia and other nations do outside their border - since I believe no one has the right to impose their own standards on others be it religious or cultural.

Foreign workers flock to Saudi Arabia because they can support whole extended families in India or Egypt or Pakistan or Bangladesh.. Lots and Lots of Syrian refugees with residency status.

Most workers send about $200 a month home which is a lot of money in those countries.

Trump wants to take that money from foreign workers to pay for his wall and he raves about how unfair it is for them to send that 15% of their income home.

Where is it that you think Saudi Arabia is forcing their will on other countries?

Well, yeah. They were running the show .. Read the PNAC letter and look at the dual citizen signatories of 1998. Pretty blatant stuff.. Bibi may as well have been president.

Saudi's are aligned with Israel, it's a reality. You malign Israel but cheerlead for KSA. You have a lot of detail about KSA, but you fail to connect the dots on the big picture.

Margot's response to everything is, "I lived in Saudi Arabia." She's been bragging endlessly about having lived there for years now. I honestly don't know why this is allowed. Nobody comes here to read about Margot's illustrious residency in Saudi Arabia. It's a constant distraction from the actual topic of the thread.

    Bwahahahahaha

Yeah, a "consensus" where there are no actual elections or votes. How convenient for the Saudi despots.

Of course, if conservatives in America try to place comparatively moderate restrictions on gay marriage or abortion or transgender bathroom rights, "liberals" like you will scream from the rooftops about how America is turning into a fascist patriarchy.

Those who've only travelled abroad once in their life tend to over-glorify the experience lest it seems the only thing they've done in life was a "failure". But before I am criticised for saying it please note that is they (themselves) who see it as a failure. I don't think in those terms.

They have the Majlis... which Thomas Jefferson studied and wrote about when he was studying government by consensus.

So what about the Israeli -Saudi IronClad Agreement executed recently? I thought Israel was this great democracy, why are they allying themselves with the Filthy Women Hating regime in KSA? What's up with THAT???

Read Here About this Disgusting Alliance that is firmly against Women.
