Clinton Leads by 4 Nationally; Trump Hurt Himself in Debate

“ PPP's new national poll finds Hillary Clinton leading by 4 points both in the full field of candidates, and in a head to head match up with Donald Trump……..
……….. In the full field she gets 44% to 40% for Trump, 6% for Gary Johnson, 2% for Evan McMullin, and 1% for Jill Stein. She leads Trump 49/45 if voters had to choose just between the two of them. …….

……….Monday night's debate was a big success for Clinton. 54% of voters think she won it, to only 31% who think Trump won. Beyond that simple fact it opened up several issues that may persist for the rest of the campaign:
-The discussion about Trump's personal taxes in the debate has voters thinking several things that could prove very problematic for his ability to make a comeback in the final 40 days. Only 31% of voters think Trump pays his fair share of federal income taxes, to 52% who think he does not. 46% of voters nationally think that they personally pay more in federal income taxes than he does, to only 36% who think Trump pays more. ……………..

Interesting , according to your article she didn't gain anything from the debate.

My son worked his butt off for 60 hours/week all year last year and ended up paying 18% in federal income tax. I would say that the sniffing, snorting, lying Trump doesn't pay his fair share.

She pays more of her "fair share" than Trump does--that is for sure. She and Bill paid 44% of their wages in income taxes last year. What did Trump pay?

Nothing, that's why he is terrified of releasing his tax returns.

I'm in the same hours/tax boat as your son. But let me ask you a few questions:

    1. Did your son take advantage of every available tax break and try to beat down his taxes?

    2. What tax laws did Trump enact which gave him the ability to have write offs?

    3. Do you know anyone who doesn't try to lessen their tax burden?

You should teach Trump a lesson for your son's taxes and vote for Hillary, that way he can keep paying that much or more each year.

That's an anecdotal story. You don't need to question it. The only time you should question an anecdotal story is if it involves obamacare or something negative towards liberals. For instance, how nobody, or very very few people you know are Hillary supporters, and most or all of the people you know support Trump. Those are anecdotal and don't count.

Trump's business pays tens (hundreds?) of millions in federal, state and local taxes and pays salaries of tens of thousands of hardworking Americans like your son.

I know of no one who will admit to voting for Obama. I know of no one who is voting for Clinton and I don't see yard signs or bumper stickers. And my kid, wife and I have a lot of doctor appointments and I know of not a single person in the medical field who likes Obamacare. Not one! And I live in a lib state.

It's a shame there wasn't an impartial moderator.

    True.

Lester Holt was bending over backwards to not make the amateurish Trump look foolish.

An "impartial moderator" would have done a better job of calling Trump on some of Trump's BS lies.

Too bad the moderator favored Trump.

Hopefully, Hillary gets a fair shake next time. :salute:

Trump, his entire adult life has contributed greatly to the GDP. The clintons? Not one dollar. None of the millions they made selling our state dept and our nations sovriegnty went to help the economy. No jobs created. Just bloodshed. Piety doesnt suit you guys much here. Of course Trump pays as little in taxes as possible legally. Would be stupid not to. Overall his enterprises pay way more in taxes than the Clintons, while contributing to GDP and creating jobs.

The democrats trial run of turning healthcare into a tax was a precursor for their next part of the agenda: global warming taxes.

If Clinton is elected, your son won't have a job with which to pay taxes, which are all going to be higher.

Trump is a job creator, Clinton will simply send more of our jobs offshore and then guess who gets to make up the tax differences?

    No they didnt.

Also, isn't it interesting they were 'dead broke' a few years ago but now are worth 10's of millions less than a decade later.

Sure their taxes are on the up and up.

That's what I pay. Their 'fair share' should be about 60% but tax laws don't specify that. You can work around our wack laws if you want...

Go to a consumption tax and get rid of the useless IRS.

News flash... NOBODY, except maybe you, would pay their 'fair share' if they were given the option, not even Hollywood Democrats who pretend to care about the poor.

Mission Control ... Mission Control .... We have a Problem.
Donald Trump wins most every Poll as to the debate except the CNN poll.
They { the They } insist it was because most are Internet Polls.
Where Internet users can just plug in repeatedly.
Okey Dokey ... Mission Control. Then what explains the record crowds everywhere
Trump appears. And the very small crowds for Hillary.
    Things aren't adding-up ... Mission Control.
    Delay Launch. Delay Launch.
