You don't have to be sticking it to anyone to have rights.
Bull ****. YOU accused ME of supporting gun bans. Now you are running away. But now that we've established that you were being dishonest, will you actually return to the topic? I doubt it.
Willingly. You are doing so willingly. You are ELECTING to do so. If you want to drop by a police station and randomly show your ID to them, have at it. No one is stopping you.

Willingly. If a Carls Jr employee chases me down the street, and I'm not even buying a burger, and he threatens to put me in a cage if I don't give him my debit card, that's not okay. I shouldn't have to explain this to an adult.

In voluntary exchanges, yes. Not to strangers on the street, son.

I do so in voluntary exchanges, yes. It's not okay for ANY of those people to stop me on the street and threaten to lock me in a cage if I don't give them that same information. Think. Maybe some of "kids at school" can explain this simple concept to you.

White flag accepted. You said you'd give it to anyone who asked, I've asked for it, you've admitted you weren't telling the truth.

. . . oookay. Now that you are done bringing up something that had even less to do with the discussion than the posts I was responding to . . . care to talk about the topic?

Bingo! It’s the only thing the OP is known for.

While we’re going on about a black guy who the OP said was profiled, the White House is going through Blaxit where black staffers are quitting because of how they’re treated. The number stands at 21 people so far. No threads yet on that subject.

Uh, are you aware that "no reason" to you may be an opinion but information you do not have but the police do have may still constitute reasonable suspicion? For instance a white guy wearing a dark gym shirt could have stolen something from a gas station and ran off. I arrive and am filling my car wearing something similar, and the officer who arrives may, seeing my description, legally ask me questions.

    That's reasonable suspicion.

I asked a person who said that he would give his ID to anyone who asked, without question or reservation, to do so. He declined. Now that you are caught up, care to join the topic?

Now try bringing this all back around to the actual topic.

Yes really because in this vague, and don't take advantage of that, scenario just because the person who called the cops cannot see the perpetrator does not mean they're completely gone.

. . . "vague" isn't legal grounds to just randomly stop someone that you happen to see and threaten to jail them if they don't provide ID. Please tell me you understand this.

Of course I remember .. what do lockdowns and vax mandates have to with the cop requesting ID from these folks .. and the mindless plea that this could have been avoided if people would just obey authority.

Like telling a rape victim that the scars on her arm could have been avoided if she would have just cooperated.

Yeah, give an ID =/= posting it online for everyone to see. I'll say it again, you wanna see it? I have it right here. Moving of goalposts noted.

You said you'd give it to anyone who asked. I asked. You are just using the medium as an excuse for backing away from your claim. But if you are done fleeing from the topic, can you understand the difference between willingly giving something and having it taken by force? Think hard.

That's right. I would GIVE it. If I post it am I giving it to you? Nope, not being given to you at all.

Again, nice try but I deal with teenagers for a living. You lose.

I think you're on the wrong path, no they don't have to give it but they have to deal with the consequences of appearing guilty of something enhancing suspicion. It's like everything else, don't show the bank the id, don't get to your own money. Don't show your vax id, don't get in, I respect their right to not show it but to whine and sue after the fact is well their own fault.

That "officer" (a pathetic excuse for "law enforcement")...
A pathetic wannabe tough guy (on a slow day for shaking down girls for sex at traffic stops) who decided to see if he could create a situation which would escalate into getting away with murdering a black man in cold blood.
    Cops being Cops. Academy 101.
Good thing that the Supervisor intervened.
That Pathetic Punk Cop should be fired and permanently blacklisted (nationwide) from ever working in law enforcement.

Yes, giving it to me digitally would be giving it to me. But seeing as you couldn't address the rest of the post, or even make an attempt to discuss the topic, you have already lost. You should try doing better than the teens you deal with.

Nope, you're moving the goalposts again.

But if you're gonna say handing an ID over to someONE is exactly the same as digitally posting it to EVERYone else who sees the thread, well ....

C'mon man - my kids can do better than you here.
