This is not your personal dowelling. Had she not been shot she would have been charged with a misdemeanor trespass like all the other protesters.

"Asked about it, a D.C. MPD spokeswoman confirmed that Byrd did not cooperate with internal affairs agents or FBI agents, who jointly investigated what was one of the most high-profile officer-involved shooting cases in U.S. history.

“MPD did not formally interview Lt. Byrd,” deputy D.C. MPD communications director Kristen Metzger said. And, “He didn’t give a statement while under the U.S. Attorney’s Office investigation.”"

Then post this statement under oath to investigators under penalty of law he he lies, post the statements of the other witnesses. Post the forensics.

O no my friend, this is the floor of congress and she was part of a rioting mob per your own admission. A rioting mob trying to break into the floor of congress where a goodly portion of the federal government cowered in fear. When they breached the perimeter, the person at the tip who was in the breach made themselves fair game. So they got shot in the face and died.

Yes they did request the additional NG security, six times and officials at the Capital turned down the request. Another reason we need a FULL INVESTIGATION not just a what can we pin on Trump investigation.

What made it a lawful shooting. Who specifically was in imminent, got that IMMINENT, that means IMMEDIATE, threat of death or serious bodily harm by that person in that window? What specifically made her such a threat and use of lethal force proper and justified? Just breaking into the Capital does not meet the requirements for use of lethal force.

Would you hug her if she broke into your window with an angry mob of dipshits behind her?

That DOES NOT mean he didn't cooperate. It says he was not interviewed formally. It doesn't mean he didn't file a report and give a verbal account to his superiors.

ALL of which is just a red herring. There is ample video evidence of what happened, inside and out, of the Speakers Lobby. It shows a manic mob attacking the doors into the Speakers Lobby, where Congress is actively evacuating. It shows the mob's violent threats towards Congress, the Speaker and the Vice-President. It shows the mob was armed with pole-arms, and various other hand weapons and a belligerent use of fists. It shows repeated warnings of "GUN", which Babbitt ignored and climbed through a broken out window of one of the doors. It shows Lt. Byrd fire one shot at the person breaching the last barrier between the mob and OUR elected officials. It shows Babbitt fall back to the outside of the Speakers Lobby. It shows that the assault on the Speakers Lobby and our Elected Officials were ended by that SINGLE bullet.

Three investigations concluded that Lt. Byrd acted appropriately. <-period, end of story.

Answer the question this is not about my personal home.

The sergeant at arms denied the request. This was in the testimony, which is why they were fired.

Yes as in under oath, in the formal investigation.

The only thing that matters is Babbitts imminent threat to another persons life or serious bodily harm. So posed no such thing behind that door nor would she had she made it through.

"A retired FBI supervisory special agent told the Star News Network that the Capitol Hill police officer, who shot unarmed Ashli E. Babbitt at close range Jan. 6, was not justified to use deadly force.

“Yes, it was chaotic, but that is why you wear a badge,” said Robyn Gritz, who was part of the FBI team that responded to the April 15, 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. “That’s why you carry a gun – you’re supposed to know that you can handle a crisis.”...........

.......“It was very upsetting to watch that video—I was going: ‘What the hell? Why did he shoot?’” the former liaison agent between the FBI and the Defense Intelligence Agency said.

The officer must be held responsible, she said. “You own every bullet when you take a shot.........

    ...
Gritz said Babbitt was acting inappropriately, but she was not endangering the life of the officer and she was about to make herself extremely vulnerable as she climbed through a broken window and then had to grapple over the tables and chairs barricaded up against the doors.

“Was anyone’s life in danger at that point?” she asked. “I don’t feel it was a justified shooting—just through the window. No one’s life was in danger. There’s a bunch of furniture in front of the door and window.”

.....“It was just one person. She was obviously going to fall over the furniture that was blocking the door—and the officers should have had their cuffs out. They could have pepper sprayed her, there was no reason to use force.”

There were other officers in the lobby besides the shooting officer and they should have worked as a team to confront and apprehend Babbitt,” she said...

Gritz said another reason why the shot was a tragic mistake is that at the same time Babbitt and her group were trying to enter the lobby, a element of Capitol Hill police officers in black tactical gear and long rifles were coming up the stairs directly behind Babbitt.

Those officers coming up the stairs could have been shot, she said.

“They were yelling because the officer who shot Babbitt could have easily shot one of them. Very easily. They were yelling: ‘Stand down! Stand down!’” she said.

“You almost had a blue-on-blue situation,” she said.

“He took the shot with Capitol Police out there,” she said. “What about the radio comms? The shooter darn well those guys were coming up the stairs—it would be very interesting to get the radio transmission of what was going on.”

Yes why haven't we been able to listen to all those radio transmissions and read all the investigative reporting and witness statements?

Capitol police chief consulted with the sergeant at arms. The sergeant at arms never brought it up with any house or senate leaders. They never said any leaders denied their request in their testimony.

Who reports to the Speaker of he House and he consulted with his officials who would sign off on the request for Federal Troops in the Capital. So let's see the full record, why are they hiding it refusing to release it to the concurrent Republican investigation which has requested those records.

Yes the Metro closed theirs, the the CP held their administrative and did not fire him or even discipline him. And he never made a formal statement as to what happened in this homicide. The records are not being released. A whitewash.

They never consulted house or senate leaders. The testimony never mentions Pelosi denying their requests.

Yes, it does. Breaking into the Capitol with thousands of angry dipshits after they broke the glass to get into the chambers. The same dipshits that were yelling threats to the congress folks. You are wrong and this hero cop has been justified in shooting that crazy traitor.

So you resort to a conspiracy theory. That's odd.
So, are you claiming the DoJ lied about their investigation? It seems like it with your continuation of thinking the debunked OP is worthwhile, when it is a lie.

Sund told the Post that House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving was concerned with the "optics" of declaring an emergency ahead of the protests and rejected a National Guard presence. He says Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Stenger recommended that he informally request the Guard to be ready in case it was needed to maintain security.

    ...
Senior Army official Lt. Gen. Walter E. Piatt, director of the Army Staff, said on the call he couldn't recommend that Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy authorize deployment, Sund and others on the call told the Post. Piatt reportedly said, "I don't like the visual of the National Guard standing a police line with the Capitol in the background," the Post reported.
    https://www.npr.org/2021/01/11/9555...ims-national-guard-was-never-called-during-ri

    ...
If the above story is true, the CP did not reject NG, in fact the forced into retirement Chief says the Sft of Arms didn't like the NG being there.

Even the Army Secretary didn't like those optics.
So no formal NG request was ever made.
