This sounds like a very compassionate, understanding letter. Wouldn't you just love to have Kushner and Co. as your landlords? :disbelief:

The point is, when one entity in the chain of supply don't pay, it transfers up the line. Meaning, if somebody doesn't pay their rent, at some point weather it be the landlord, the bank, etc, somebody has to eat that cost. The way most liberals think here, there is some fat cat at the top that doesn't really NEED the money, so its cool if they don't get it.

The point of this thread was about a landlord saying that people still need to pay rent. Which people threw a fit about. So, who exactly doesn't have bills to pay dependent on that revenue up the chain that is expected to hold the bag?

That isn't a strawman. It's an honest question.

It is a difficult situation, I understand the prospectives — both liberal and regressive — the issue though is who is able to weather the storm better, the family that was just laid off and is making less than they need to feed their children much less pay rent or the billionaire property owner with over seven billion in assets handed off by his felon father that was convicted of tax evasion and witness tampering?

Such a moral dilemma, the family will figure something out I guess once they lose their home due to no fault of their own and Kushner will continue to enjoy his unqualified nepotistic Government Director position.

To give an honest answer to your question, the Relief package should have gone almost entirely to the people so that they continue paying bills but instead a quarter of it is going to large corporations that have done nothing but act irresponsibly. That is the issue.

If it was a small business I would have a sympathetic viewpoint, but it isn’t — so I don’t.

The CARES act provided forgivable loans only to businesses with less than 500 employees. All businesses larger than that must repay any dollars they get from the act.

Where are you seeing that large corporations are getting free money?

Also, didn't the poor families you talk about get money. $1500 per adult and $500 per kid. For a family of 5, that's $5,000.

You didn’t know? Corporations are Evil. Why look at the details in a bill when you can make snap judgements and point fingers and scream like the end of Body Snatchers. :)
