I don't know about England but I have to point out that in the US "bad neighborhoods" and "bad schools" are code words liberals use for black neighborhoods or black schools. BTF, of the 4 home invasions I mentioned in a previous comment, 3 of the 4 took place in upper middle class neighborhoods. In one case it involved a couple that were very wealthy and they were attacked for that reason - and when I say attacked they were woken up by their dogs and found 3 dudes in their kitchen. I don't go around being afraid of a house fire but I own fire extinguishers. I am not afraid of an auto accident but I wear a seatbelt. I am not afraid of a home invasion, but I have an alarm system, an aggressive dog, and firearms. What I am afraid of is liberals.

That being said, living in a State with Constitutional carry I am not worried about street crime. People attempting crimes at a mall, church, etc. will encounter armed citizens.
