I realize how badly you want to believe any article with unnamed sources can be relied on for their veracity. Feel free to dismiss anything that challenges that (as always), regardless of what is presented. You appear to have a predisposition to reject anything you disagree with, no matter how factual, so no surprise when you do.
The golden showers episode was most salacious, but as far as i know , least legally interesting for mueller. If you thow out the golden showers there would still be a special counsel First, as team trump has indicated, cartee page was played a neglible role in the campaign. So if his phone was tapped, there would be little to nothing related to the trump campaign. And certainly, the carter page warrant would not allow separately tapping anyone else in calls where carter page was not on line
Not to mention that as we learned in the Nunes memo, the first FISA warrant to monitor his interactions with FOREIGN actors wasn't issued until Oct...well after he left the Trump campaign...and was REISSUED (for cause) two more times after that...
So Steele admits that the chances that the urine incident happened is 50/50 and didn't claim it as absolute fact. How does that debunk everything he said? Also is your source any more reliable then Steele?
Any rational person would be embarrassed to be seen playing the petty parsing games that you have played throughout this thread.
TomFitz slams the ball through the hoop over the weak opposition, the oh so weak opposition. No one has shown us any proof that Carter was exonerated.
All of those had contacts with Russians which is a normal course of business. (Do you have any idea how many Americans have contacts with Russians?) None had any indication of being a foreign agent, which is required for getting a FISA warrant, and no application to get a FISA warrant on them was made. I do not know but it's possible some were surveiled from the Page warrant.
Don't tell me; go tell Fusion GPS, Susan Rice, and Comey. If you think watching golden showers is criteria for getting a FISA warrant it would behoove you to bone up.
Someone on the Alt Right said Page was exonerated and never could support it. No has to counter rebut what has never been proved.
I'm not sure but you are probably correct that golden showers were not high on Mueller's priorities. That is true. Taping others would have to be in a communication with Carter Page, and that would require special consideration and handling, though the Obama administration has not shown an solid propensity to follow the rules or law.
That assessment was not in the dossier used to get a warrant. Who is more reliable than the author Steele himself????? He has said he was not confident that his source was even in Moscow the date of the incident. Others have tracked his source's elsewhere.
Oh, I check the news reports for time to time. Do you have info that this is not true? (The answer is no.)
Now you are fibbing. There are no news reports of respect that say Carter was completely exonerated. That is a complete falsehood.
Attached is an excerpt for the NY Times https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/04/us/politics/carter-page-trump-russia.html "Russian intelligence operatives tried in 2013 to recruit an American businessman and eventual foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign who is now part of the F.B.I. investigation into Russia’s interference into the American election, according to federal court documents and a statement issued by the businessman. The businessman, Carter Page, met with one of three Russians who were eventually charged with being undeclared officers with Russia’s foreign intelligence service, known as the S.V.R. The F.B.I. interviewed Mr. Page in 2013 as part of an investigation into the spy ring, but decided that he had not known the man was a spy, and the bureau never accused Mr. Page of wrongdoing." You could have found this if you had an interest. Though as I admitted to another poster (Lesh??) non-negative articles about Carter Page are hard to find because they do not fit the agenda, and this was in the NY TIMES! Most are slanted and edited like the following from Buzzfeed: "NEW YORK — A former campaign adviser for Donald Trump met with and passed documents to a Russian intelligence operative in New York City in 2013............ The revelation of Page’s connection to Russian intelligence — which occurred more than three years before his association with Trump — is the most clearly documented contact to date between Russian intelligence and someone in Trump’s orbit."
That was before the FBI found the wrong doing of Carter Page, and note, dear readers, RodB does not tell us that. :
The FBI has never found wrong doing by Carter Page, but keep waving your arms -- it's good exercise. I'd explain in more detail but that's a waste of time.
