    I view this as the market crashing itself out of irrational fear which could well make it a buying opportunity. When the world doesn't end people will jump back in and the market will quickly regain losses.Im thinking Dow 24000 will be my trigger point.

    When the markets booming the left says so what, only rich people are effected. When it falls they suddenly wring their hands in anguish over every day people losing money. Funny how that works.

    Trump is the one that brags about a rise in the market, so it he takes credit for the rise, he has to take credit for a fall

    Fair enough and this fall is directly attributable to fear the tarrifs by China will harm our economy. When it doesn't or at minimum doesn't harm it as much as feared, stocks will go up. After that as Americans and other countries see an opportunity to steal business from China permanently it will go even higher.

    I did very well in the first years of Trump but after a couple of yo yo events I decided to get out. I'm too old for that and need steady income off investment. I took the profits and ran.

    I have not heard one person say it is going to be anyone other than the American people who will pay. An average of $700 a year is what I heard.

    As the first part of your graph shows the dow soared as the economy boomed under Trump and as the second part shows the feds fear that it was growing too fast and their susequent series of rate hikes did exactly what they were intended to do and slowed growth.
