Where is this 'speculation' coming from? The goofy Muslim community?

They cannot be taken seriously and their buzzwords are the giveaway.

Really? Then how is it that a conservative poster wrote that he is happy because the tariffs hurts China more than it hurts the US (mainly those farmers).

And the effects of these tariffs is a bit like one gambler being happy that he lost less than another gambler while the bookie (the rest of the world) is making money off the two of them

The feds stated goal with it's constant rate hikes was to cool what they considered an overheated economy and to slow economic growth. Mission accomplished.

Yeah it's a gamble but history shows after huge drops like this from some feared event the market always rebounds. Not sure if I'll play the game at my age but if I were younger I'd definitely jump in soon. Might have already missed the boat though. Dows up over a hundred as we speak. Looks like the panic may be subsiding.

Because it will bring the Chinese to the table more quickly in order to get the problem resolved more quickly. That would seem obvious. No one wants to see anyone suffer, and that includes the Chinese.
If you don't understand the problem, or the negotiations, you should not attempt analogies.

And, as you know, there are many who don't mind some 'panic' in order to get a better price.

Sell all you got now! It may be 2057 or never before you break even! The cloudy, tornado filled sky is falling! Sell all your intangibles now and buy gold!

The Chinese dictate our trade policy by making better things for less, at one time we did that to the rest of the world and that is how we became as prosperous as we are today. Cons think we can become prosperous again by forcing our own people to buy our own shitty goods for more but we are really just screwing ourselves to temporarily benefit snowflake manufacturers who think Americans are too good to have to compete any more.

Hard to believe that America became rich by selling shitty goods. You look to the Chinese for quality?

How do you propose the Americans become prosperous? By buying shitty Chinese goods? Or by paying Americans Chinese wages?

Nearly 17 months ago you were saying buy, buy, buy and created a thread about it celebrating the DJIA reaching 26000 and saying that you are buying.

I said from feared events not actual events. The trade war Dow tumble is based on hysteria not any actual economic decline.

That poster never mentioned anything about bringing the Chinese to the table, he was happy because the Chinese (according to him) was losing more than the US. Which bit don't you understand. Were you that poster

That's why this will get resolved and the USA will come out better off, as it should. We have suffered enough for China.

btw, shrimpers and catfish farmers are elated here; life will be easier and more profitable for them. It's probably the same everywhere in the USA.

Why in hell would you want uninspected seafood frozen from the other side of the globe anyway? You wouldn't if you knew what you were getting.

Panic is the friend of professional investors. Even a neophyte like myself has prospered handsomely from past events such as this.

tariff=tax, more expensive good mean less buyer, less buyer=less profit, less profit=layoff, slow down, the cycle continue.

The poster was then expressing his own opinion and not a 'conservative' opinion.
