Elizabeth Warren's DNA test says there was a Native American ancestor 6 -10 generations ago....

I think she's being clever by heading off future criticism at the pass. She's not a Native American but she heard family tales of Native American heritage which she had absolutely no reason to disbelieve. Some families stress parts of their heritage more than others.

In the future, if this is brought up, she can just say that she proved her claims to the extent she made them.

 

SHE did? She called Trump's bluff and now he is saying that 'no one cares'. He cared enough to create a nickname for her and repeated it at every opportunity. He cared enough to make fun of her during the ceremony for Code Talkers. Now, since she has taken the DNA test that he said she would never take, he says he doesn't care.

What was the lie? When did she personally ever make a claim of specific blood degree? All she said was that stories were passed down by her parents about heritage. I believed what my parents told me, don't you? (and in this case it turns out to be true to the extent that she ever claimed it to be).

 

Wow, this is a HUGE scandal. She said she had Native American ancestry, which no one could disprove and when she actually shows evidence (she never had to) some people still won't let it go.

She has never claimed to be full-blood Cherokee. She believes she is descended from the Cherokee because of what she has been told by her family. We now have evidence of some degree of Indian blood so she is part Native American however small. If my parents told me I was descended from the Cherokee, I would believe them. She is not Cherokee by tribal standards for citizenship but that was never a claim she made.

And a DNA test could well back up that claim as it has with Warren to the extent she made it.
