Evolution is a theory that became universally accepted due to evidence and science, in this it is the polar opposite of religion.

 

Anything can be used to "develop a world view." Baseball fandom can be developed into a worldview.

Yup that's true but baseball fans don't try to force me to watch games ot for e me to route for one team or another using legal means.

 

No one is forcing you to do any of those things for a worldview.

The point is that some people say that the biblical fairy tale has nothing to do with evolution when it plainly does.

You better let every biologist on earth know this then. Evolution is the foundation of biology.

 

I haven't and it still doesn't. But I understand the need to substitute hyperbole and desperate sensationalism for fact. Kind of par for the course these days. Especially given the current fact-free political leadership.

 

Of course we know that current life is the result of earlier life. That's how life works. How does anyone not know that at this point?

It is accepted fact that whale ancestors were land creatures that migrated to the sea. And some snakes are currently evolving into sea creatures. Horseshoe crabs haven't evolved for tens of millions of years but we have recently evolved to use their blood. We are now their "parasite."

 

He descended from Lucy (Australopithecus Afarensis).

 

We use their blood in Medical tests....we also used deer horn as speartips, was that parasitical?

 

Buddhism is not a religion, because it has no superhuman controlling power. Buddhism is a philosophy.

Shinto IS a religion, because it does have superhuman controlling powers- "spirits', "essences" or "gods" (kami).

Evolution has no superhuman controlling powers, therefore, it's not a religion.

Evolution isn't a philosophy, because it's a science, and science is different than both religion and philosophy.

Why does anyone bother debating with someone so ignorant that they don't believe in evolution. Feel sorry for their stupidity and move on. It's like debating people who still believe the world is flat.

There are problems with the theory of evolution. That is why it is a theory and not an accomplished fact. One of those problems relates to time. According to mathmaticians,it should have taken 14G years for life to develop to the stage it has.
