Definitly. They awakened the dragon, as we say in German. Germans usually accept alot of **** until the red line is crossed. But when this happens, things get explosive

Several cities dont acept any migrants for example. Several institutions dont accept migrants anymore. For example "Die Tafel", which gives food to people in need.

Fact is, there never was "refugee welcome". It was a media construct. Large parts of society here felt incredible uneasy.

What is most interesting, ist that many believed AfD would calm down once in Parliament. The oppossite happenes. AfD gets more and moe radical. It does not limit on those migrants anymore but also on Turks and muslims in general. And ironically it doesnt hurt AfD. Infact the more radical they get, the more votes they get.

Its like the political correctness dam is broken.

Few days ago some holocaust victim hold a speech in parliament. The typical folklore, you know what i mean.

We actually now have people in parliament who call this bullshit out. AfD leader Weidel said, she did not applaud because she doesnt applaud that a vuictim gets instrumentalized for this freakshow. She feels for the victim but will not support such freakshows any longer.

And it feels damn good. Its like those chains start to break apart.

 

I think many regard most of the Old Testament as fairy stories, and there are many educated Jews who flat out regard the lot as fantasy. The extreme far right now dominates politics in central and southeastern USA. Warum sollte es in Deutschland anders sein? (Why should it be different in Germany?) Wir haben sogar einen faschistischen Idioten in den USA zum Präsidenten gewählt!

Amen, and it is quite frustrating.

There are plenty of fair, intelligent and purposeful aspects of the Liberal side of things as there are on the Conservative side of things.

Instead of being "sane" and taking the pro's and con's from each side, we watch them both fight and hate each other so much that it swings from far right to far left.

 

That is fine but, what about the rest of Germany ? Regardless. Consensus can change and further ... this means there are folks in Eastern Germany that still need convincing.
