I believe it’s important to use correct terminology. And I believe spotting improper terminology is certainly useful in identifying those who opine on this subject from a position of ignorance.

That said, in this case I’m pretty sure Starkey made an honest mistake. I’ve seen him use proper caliber designations in the past. I’m happy to let mistakes slide and carry on debating weightier matters.

But yeh, at the end of the day, who wouldn’t want an m203?

 

In my experience, .40sw is snappier than .45acp.

Again I did not, I criticized it, a .223 JHP is a much better choice of a round in comparison to say a pea shooter .38 or a .40 Cal (which he referred to as a .40mm which is something like a .017", going forward try engaging comprehension before pounding the keyboard.

You said indoors, collapsed buildings, sewers, etc. An M4 will still work just fine in a crawlspace. And when you assault a building from the outside, guess what? You have to go inside and clear each room and -!GASP!- crawlspaces. Sure, a sidearm would be a bit easier to manage in a tight crawlspace, but that same sidearm has very little use beyond 10m or so. An M4 is great up close and personal as well as engaging targets at longer range. So why limit yourself? Or better yet, have a sidearm and an assault rifle.

 

You have no clue of what you are talking about, with just a couple of hours training I can teach someone to hit a target at that range from the hip or shoulder with a rifle or shotgun, which is nothing compared to training a person in firearm retention.

Disarming a person with a rifle or shotgun is tougher and way more dangerous than taking a handgun away from an armed person who lacks retention training.
