The plot thickens, looks like Trump might be charged. Not to mention the investigations
in NYC are still going on .

Attorneys for Donald Trump have met in person with the Fulton County District Attorney's Office in Georgia. ---Rachel Maddow (Tweet)

The prosecutor weighing whether Donald Trump and others committed crimes by trying to pressure Georgia officials to overturn Joe Biden’s presidential election victory said a decision on whether to bring charges could come as early as the first half of this year.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said in an interview with The Associated Press last week that her team is making solid progress, and she’s leaning toward asking for a special grand jury with subpoena power to aid the investigation.

“I believe in 2022 a decision will be made in that case,” Willis said. “I certainly think that in the first half of the year that decisions will be made.”

The timing of this latest Dems scam has been royally screwed up. The original timeline had Dems coordinating this latest corrupt weaponization of the courts with the 6-Jan circus dragging through the midterm elections, which they once believed would sweep, resulting in a stacked activist jury deep in Marxist NYC overseen by an activist Marxist judge producing a guilty verdict on some papercut technicality that would normally amount to nothing but would give the Dem controlled Congress (and by that time the proggie stacked SCOTUS) enough manufactured justification to disqualify Trump from a 2024 run.

But what no Democrat saw coming was just how massively, how incredibly, how astronomically, Brandon and the Prog Congress would screw up America AND how quickly they would do it. Now that 2022 Congressional sweep is far from guaranteed. The timing has been screwed and thus we're seeing these sorts of articles indicating the terrified Dems are racing to pull of what they have failed 5 times before to do: to stop Trump from making America great.

As far as Trump being charged?
I Won't Believe It, until I see it.

If they proceed to charge him, I hope they have the evidence to prove their case in court. That's how the process is supposed to work. So let's see it Georgia DA, do you've got the goods or don't ya :D

News - "Trump charged in all democrat led states!"

Fox News - "What evidence do you have against Trump?"

DA's - "We have to charge him to find out."

You have to ask yourself, why are they so afraid of D. Trump?

Cause they know he’s gonna put a whooping on that ass in 2024 unless they cheat again.

I mean, did you LISTEN TO the phone call audio?? I'm guessing no....

They have the goods... lets see if they have the guts...

Appalling he hasn't been charged in Georgia by now... That case is WAY more clear cut than anything having to do with the actual day of 1/6...

LOL... somebody else who hasn't listened to the phone call, or even read the much more boring transcript.

I'd suggest not using the word evidence until you do a little legwork...

Just to add context to this story.... ALL of this was KNOWN over a year ago.... I understand Willis is considering something against Lil Lindsay as well, for another call, but that shouldn't stop the T**** indictment....

This has nothing to do with fear of Trump and everything to do with laws and everyone having to follow them.

Hey if he's guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, throw him in the slammer and throw away the keys. Like Pelosi said: No one is above the law. I agree with her on that.

    It's about time.

That phone call is straight up evidence of pushing/encouraging corruption. They would need Trump on the stand to really get to a conviction since a jury will likely be hung given the polarized nature of the USA. Of course, he'd likely take the 5th. A judge might see it differently however.

Can you name the last time the Capitol was attacked in the name of a single person?

The Georgia law is only 5 years max... I don't think you'd need to throw away the key (but I'd keep a continuous spot open in the prison infirmary)....

Per the VOX article I re-read periodically, the primary holdup is T****'s state of mind when coercing the Georgia officials... If he legitimately thought there were votes to be "found", it might be the equivalent of an insanity defense....

Sorry Donnie... I might even give you that benefit of the doubt up until December 14th, when Georgia certified. After that, the fact that you lost is a fact, and there is zero excuse for not knowing that...

That phone call, in addition to what you said, is evidence of a truly disturbed person.... We don't have that many examples of the free-flowing, non teleprompter "mind" of Donald J. T****, but that one is a classic....

After actually hearing that phone call to Brad, it really makes me sad we don't have audio of his call with Zelensky. Rough transcripts just don't do his level of extortions justice...

Unrelated to the Georgia case are more ridiculous claims trying to defend the multiple civil claims against him for 1/6. Probably warranting its own thread, but it's easier just to lump in here

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/judge-questions-trumps-claims-absolute-025330453.html

I fully understand a POTUS, and to a similar yet lesser extent, Congress have a certain level of immunity from civil actions while performing duties of the office. Nobody can sue the POTUS for bombing a foreign country or even for failing to build a ridiculous wall....

1/6 clearly wasn't that, at least the actions he is being sued for...

Trump: A Loser for All Seasons....

    Trump on the stand
They may not be able to get Trump to testify for 1/6, but he will for the lawsuits :)

Yes, nothing spells 'weaponization of the courts' like Trump and his surrogates bringing over 60 lawsuits, a historical first for a losing president.

What is the specific Georgia crime with which you hope he will be charged. Give me a link so I can read it myself.

Give me the specific GA law that was violated. And you do know no American citizen can be forced to give testimony against himself or are you just saying when it comes to Trump the Constitution doesn't count?

That's up to DA Willis, but my guess is "Criminal Solicitation to commit election fraud"

    https://law.justia.com/codes/georgia/2016/title-21/chapter-2/article-15/section-21-2-604

I'm positive I pointed that out to you last January, but hey.... learning ain't always easy....
