The South will lead the way in our recovery, IMHO.

Democrats and liberals see the law as of more of a guideline, subject to current political needs.

I'm trying to say "that neither Tex nor Fla in the top 30 in number of tests per capita by state"

Word seems to be the asymptomatic rates are between 15-25% of the eventual cases.

How you interpret that is on you...

Pretty funny. I defend Georgia's slow-open since their chart is showing a clear continuing decline. Then people change the subject to attack my state of Texas. lol

We're doing all right down here, "y'all".

As of today's governor's briefing, Texas can open day cares immediately. Restaurants and other businesses which were limited to 25% capacity will be upped to 50% capacity Friday, as well as bars and other businesses allowed to open Friday at 25% capacity (outdoor areas do not apply). Youth sports camps and Little League, and non-contact professional sports opening May 31st. School districts have the option to open summer school as early as June 1st.

There are 5 counties in Texas with meaningful outbreaks (Amarillo and El Paso areas), which are excluded from extended reopenings. "Meaningful" means that the governor is worried about hospital capacity in those counties.

Social distancing and common sense of individuals is still necessary to reopen safely.

Meanwhile, Democrats/liberals gnash their teeth, stomp their feet, and hope for an uptick in deaths.

Hopefully, our friends here won't wish death upon me for having two beers for the first time in a couple months.

I got uneasy a couple weeks before anything shut down and have only been going to the grocery, work and home.

Think I'll go to happy hour Friday for the first time in 2 months. I usually sit inside, but they have a nice patio.

There are no Democrats "hoping for an uptick of deaths".

But what there actually is is the Republicans constantly trying use any possible story to show that the COVID virus is receding, which is not true.

Look at this previous post - Texas has decided that everything is better because there are ONLY 5 counties that hospital capacity is threatening to overload the hospitals!

Oh yeah! Everything is fine in Texas!

lol Texas has 254 counties. 32 of them don't even have their 1st case.

Texas is as large as many other states put together. We're monitoring hospital capacity by region. Area "A" and Area "I" don't have a capacity problem today, but they don't get to reopen with the other counties until they bring down their hospitalization rates....you know, so that they never have an issue with capacity.

Hospitalized currently in Area A: 68 people
Hospitalized currently in Area I: 108 people

    You know this isn't true.
You know there's a good many Democrats that will take any bad news they can get and turn it into another excuse to keep the economy locked down; an uptick in deaths is he best bad news possible.
"See! We TOLD you this would happen!! These people are dead because you love MONEY more than people!!!!"

Social distancing and stay at home orders were created to extend the time across which roughly the same number of infections would occur -- flattened or spiked, there is and was never any suggestion that area under the curve would change. The narrative has shifted from "flatting the curve" to "prevent as many infections we can" which is a false bill of sale, intended to hamstring the economy as much as possible.

Middle-class America want to go back to work; rich liberals with the power to do so refuse to let them,. because it suits them politically to do so.

The point being that BOTH parties routinely practice unconstitutional governance. Donkey and Elephant alive serve only special interests and stand in line to urinate on the founding document.

You agreed with my characterization of how the Democrats see the law.

Oh, BTW, keep posting the GDOH graphics on daily COVID cases, while I keep posting the AJC charts....

The GDOH doesn't seem to understand that days are in numeric order, until we change months, then start over again..

Thanks to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, we now know things did indeed look too good to be true. Georgia’s coronavirus numbers looked so rosy because officials misrepresented the data in such a way it's difficult to believe it wasn't done on purpose.

The source for the AJC charts is the state data.

    Still looking pretty good:

It's a good thing New York reports perfect numbers and you live there instead of Georgia, Florida or Texas, isn't it?

You're safe and sound with perfect stats and the best darned governor this country has ever seen! :applause:
