We have a meat packing plant cluster here, and the total number of infected from that one small group is crazy. The problem is that once it passes beyond known contacts, the initial cluster is virtually irrelevant. It's escaped - via every employee who went home and spread it to family, who then spread it around the supermarkets and gas stations.

Ah. You DO suggest the government ignore the law. Good to know.

The state must abide by the law - else we wind up with something worse than the virus.

You keep making this claim, and refuse to provide anything to back it up.
    Why is that?

If it were the other way, you;d accuse them on post-dating the data.

The avalanche of new cases you predicted doesn't exist.
That this angers you to the point of brazen dishonesty speaks volumes.

Read back through the thread. It's BEEN documented...as well as the fact Georgia was caught switching dates to try and make the curve look different than it is

    And stop trolling

    Good.
This means you can cite the post, and the source, and copy/paste the text to that effect.
    Get to it.
    But you won't.
Because you know it isn't there.
Calling you out on making statements you know are not true might embarrass you, but it does not violate the forum rules.

At first glance, it looks like the trend line plummets in the last two weeks, but that's not really the case.

Recently, the state started backdating cases, graphing them based not on when they're reported, but when symptoms first began.

So, for example, if you get diagnosed with COVID-19 today but your symptoms started 10 days ago, the state will graph your case 10 days ago.

So you want to get rid of all the cases that don't have positive lab SARS-COV-2 diagnosis?
They are counted by date of clinical presentation.

    I'll stay here, thanks.

Only 5% of those tested are testing positive. Numbers are higher among know risk groups. We're focusing testing there, then tracing. It's a good plan.

And the Georgia orange line continues its downward slope - much to the chagrin of some.

It's not of "no" concern. That's why we have focused efforts where there is concern.

So if I get Covid symptoms today, get tested Friday, the state doesn't get the results un June 1st, and data entry doesn't post to the dashboard until June 3rd.....should I be on the chart for today or someday 2 weeks from now. Seems like backdating is more accurate if you're trying to track the timeline of the spread, not the timeline of a backlogged report.

"Suspect"... for no reason other than you don't like them.
And even, then the average is on the downward trend.
Where does your source get its data?
Hint: The same site I did.

LOL...They WERE posting the day the test showed positive...until they opened up the economy and decided they neednt to find a way to hide the increased infections...so right THEN they decided to backdate.

Funny the change in recording should occur right then huh?

Oh and they got CAUGHT switching dates around to make it look like infections were dclining...when they weren't

It does not matter how many times you repeat a statement you know is not true...

    Okay Dokey.

We have 1551 people in the hospital right now with Covid out of 30 millions residents.

That's 1 person hospitalized in 20,000 (0.0051%). 19,999 out of 20,000 are not in the hospital.

We have 17,000 empty hospital beds. If we control that, which was the original objective, I don't think we need "luck".

In Post #1972, I linked the Texas Governors response.

    Here is part of it:
"As Texas continues ramping up its testing capabilities, there will be an increase in positive cases as the state targets the most high-risk areas: nursing homes, meat packing plants and jails," said Governor Abbott. "That is exactly why I established Surge Response Teams. By immediately deploying resources and supplies to these high risk areas, we will identify the positive cases, isolate the individuals and ensure any outbreak is quickly contained, which is the strategy being deployed in Amarillo."
