    A pretty significant one. Germany is a major logistical hub for the US military. We'll find another, but it will be costly, and it's going to be less secure.

    Yes, Poland is going to be the likely replacement. That's why I said it's less secure. There are a few reasons for this. First, the obvious, it's closer to Russia. Second, it's easier to threaten movement into Poland than into Germany by sea, since everything must travel into the Baltic. Third, since I foresee the relationship between Germany and the US getting worse, Germany could potentially threaten Poland from the other direction.

    Germany threaten Poland? With what? 3 functional fighter jets? Or 2 tanks?

    In all reality, Germany does not have a military. The only real military they have is the US military.

    We had no military in 1928. We had the most powerful military in 1933.

    We are practical people. At the moment we can live cost free regarding that aspect.

    We are ruling europe and are an economic giant.

    As for the rest, the americans want a powerful german army, but under their control. They wont get it. We will continue to use your tax money. Nothing USA does will change that.

    It obviously works for us. We keep the status quo. They pay. We could even go down to zero and nothing would change. Their empty threats are best example that it works.

    Yeah, everything "works" for everybody. But everything also presents problems for everybody. The fact that Americans might shut down oil exports out of the Gulf is a massive problem. The fact that the Americans might antagonize the Russians into a war (I don't think it'll happen, but it's a possibility) is a HUGE problem for Germany. Your lack of geopolitical agency is a problem.

    By "they pay" you mean "they maintain their global logistical system."

    I doubt Poland faces any threats with the US Forces there. Poland is also offering incentives.

    The U.S will eventually been sucked dry by trying to maintain its global power and the increased costs of social programs and the drain of 40 million illegal immigrants of which a small percentage are loyal, thankful, non-revolutionary, productive people. The Southwest U.S and all of its welfare towns are an example of this. Even Michigan has them...
    If West Germany was as ethnocentric as East Germany Sobo would be right in the long run. But the same gang that controls American policy controls Germany's; international financiers. Once they suck Western Europe dry, they will come for the rest.

    Our forces are going to be there because Poland faces threats.

    In the specific case of Poland? Germany, Russia, and Turkey.

    Any potential war where the Americans stand on one side.

    People do it all the time, man. People are doing it now. From Maduro to Assad to Putin. Is it unreasonable to think any of these rivalries could turn into a real war?

    The US will be involved in any war where there are democracies involved.
    Yes, it is unreasonable. Neither Venezuela, Syria or Russia is a threat to US and NATO power.
