Agreed, but that doesn't fit the anti-gun Left's agenda, so they'll keep calling anyone who supports gun rights to be "gun nuts".

I believe you, and you phrased that very cleverly! Leave the law-abiding away and ask, "are people with guns as peaceful as people without guns?" YES, they are, but the first category is more dangerous.

Guns are banned in most of Central America. How is gun violence down there?

People commonly called "white supremacists" most likely aren't. The term has a specific definition which everyone ignores which fits nearly nobody.

The media have used the term virally, loosely, outside of its definition so people are just falling in line.

    You don't need 16 000 000 nor 300 000 000 guns to kill 300 000 000 people... 2 or 3 guns will do. You just need a lot of ammunition.

You fail to understand. 2/3 of gun related deaths in the US are suicide - these people chose to die.
The fact the died by using a gun is meaningless.
People attempting to commit come sort of crime against their person or property.
The point you missed: A firearm is far more likely to be used in self-defense than to commit murder or suicide.
That you avoided telling the whole story, because it doesn't fit your narrative.

The answer is the same. The problem is that criminals will get guns even if the law-abiding can't. Gun control just serves to harass the law-abiding, without doing a thing to stop criminals from getting guns.

Yes, you have a good point there. The black market and guns are synonymous.

That the % of guns in the US used to commit murder is infinitesimally small.

Is it? I just googled and found this article with a graph...

"At some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries," Barack Obama said today in response to the killings in Charleston. "It doesn't happen in other places with this kind of frequency."

And that's not only true of mass violence, but everyday homicides committed with guns, as you can see in the chart below.

1 gun in 16,000,000 was used to commit murder yesterday
What's that % work out to?
How would you characterize that %, if not "infinitesimally small"?

The number of guns NOT used to commit murder for every gun that is.

WHY do I worry about guns and shooting deaths in the United States, if I don't even live there?
Let's finish this argument by agreeing that we are both right, o.k.? :handshake:

Do whatever you have to do... it makes no difference to me: The USA is a killer nation. Period.

Not sure why the suicide stat is relevant. Someone hell-bent on committing suicide will find a way, so the method is meaningless, in terms of "gun control," debates.

I am posting just to point out that I find your signature from Lao Tzu full of wisdom, and one wonders why our leaders are so averse to it?

We or no other nation that I know of, operates like that, nor any of our so called leaders. If they did, we would see numerous age old problems solved, IMO. And see real improvement.

OBVIOUSLY THERE EXISTS NO GREAT NATION.
