Senator Feinstein Embarrasses Herself By Accusing Gorsuch of Not Fighting For The Little Guy.....



Democrat Senator and Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Dianne Feinstein attempted to corner Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch as a corporate sympathizer Tuesday during his confirmation hearing on Capitol Hill. It did not go well for her as Gorsuch politely shot back with a list of cases in which he fought for the "little guy" throughout his career.

This may not be quite as satisfying as Gorsuch's response to Sen. Feinstein's "why don't you ever side with the little guy?" flop, but it's pretty close. When Illinois Democrat Dick Durbin raised this exceedingly weak criticism of Gorsuch -- which was leveled by a former student who also just so happens to be a former professional Democrat (a relevant fact omitted by New York Magazine and NPR) -- the Supreme Court nominee was ready. Rather than alluding to the accuser's partisanship or objecting to the distortion, he calmly explained the context of the supposedly 'problematic' discussion at issue. He happily accepted Durbin's nothing-burger and feasted, seizing the non-controversy to present himself as a defender of women in the workplace. Impressive:



Gorsuch is putting on a clinic, and the Trump administration's team is thus far offering an exquisitely-executed textbook lesson in how to get somebody confirmed. The media's verdict on the performance is virtually unanimous, even on MSNBC and CNN:

Gorsuch is smarter than all the Democrats in that room. Even if you put them all together.

 

After yesterday.....that isn't even questionable. You know its looking bad for the leftness when their Idols in the MS media are saying the Dems never bruised or put a blemish on him.

That they wont be defeating the Trump pick.

They may force the GOP to use the nuclear option which will forever change the kind of judges selected for SCOTUS. That can come back to bite them in the ass in the not so distant future. Especially if Trump screws up and the Dems take back the Senate next year, then Trump gets ousted in '20...

 

I do know he ruled that operating a vehicle applies in a haphazard, illogical and idiotic way in his dissenting piece.

 

Once Gorsuch in, the judicial world will start to get cleaned up.

Maybe we can impeach those liberal judges and replace them with real judges. One's that follow the Constitution and not undermine the United States with their leftist liberal beliefs.

 

They were not quite clear about that as you say...That was just some loose talk by a few members who were afraid that Clinton would moninate a 35 year old socialist. Many of them said they would try to block any nominee that Clinton picked until 2020. Now, with Trump under FBI investigation for rigging the election by working with a foreign intelligence service, all bets are off. I would bet money that Trump's campaign manager Paul Manafort will be exposed as a Russian agent soon and that Trump's close campaign .advisor, Bannon and his Breitbart entity will be found to have been cooperating with the Russians in their cyber attack on Clinton and the Democratic Party. This could be interesting.

 

If you had listened to Gorsuch, you would know that he was disgusted by Trump's attack on those judges Trump attacked just as you are doing now...

 

I did listen to him. To me it was perfect for him to say that. It shows he is independent. Deep down, I bet Gorsuch disagrees strongly with those judges. He is a Constitutionalist.

 

So rail against the law, as written. If you disagree with that law, ask why democrats put it in place in the manner that required Gorsuch to rule the way he did. If you feel that the law was written to provide a privilege to big business, ask democrats why they wrote it that way. It isn't the purpose of a judge to insert their own morality. If you find this immoral, ask your own party why they felt it appropriate to write it this way.

 

The scum Ted Kennedy changed everything with Bork. Now politics is a bloodsport. Anything goes.

 

I agree it was a referendum on the left, but personally I voted Republican mainly for the SCOTUS pick. Presidents come and go every 4-8 years, the SCOTUS pick can last for a generation and I couldn't bare the thought of leftist appointing a SCOTUS pick that would affect my younger family with leftist drivel.

I'm not a democrat. In fact I'm a registered independent. I changed this one time since I was 18, and that was this election to vote in the democratic primary for Bernie sanders. I am already switched back to Independent.

Address the language of the law. If you don't like the law, work to change it. You still haven't addressed the idea that judges either should or shouldn't insert their own morality. Obviously you're not familiar with Judge Gorsuch, he has ruled in favor of Corporations and the 'Little Guy'. 3 current Senators voted for him in 2006 for the 10th Court. Even Obama voted for the judge, what's changed?
