Liberal solution: Take guns away from the individual and rely even more on the police/government for their safety. Brilliant.

I don't know if this one did or not. Having a firearm doesn't prevent murder, but it does give you a chance at minimizing it.

It doesn't fit their gun-banning, race-based narrative, so it's by design.

Yes, they paid the price for liberals who think "gun free zone" signs keep out violent mentally ill people.

If that school had been able to arm people in the school, it would not have been as bad.

Or maybe since teachers are paid so little to begin with it's more of a question of why there are proposals to spend millions on putting more guns in school but teachers still have to buy their own supplies.

Is that an actual quote or are you just whistling dixie out your ass and making bullshit partisan tripe while calling a quote that you made up pathetic. Where the f do you people come from?

Unless you develop the ability to read minds then an attacker always has the advantage.

The shooting of two students is not a success.

If teachers don't want them, the conversation is then moot. If it's optional and they choose it, then fine but in any case teachers do so much and don't get rewarded enough for it.

You guys are coming up with some pathetically bad arguments here in your attempts to avoid looking squarely at reality.

It doesn't have to cost millions to allow teachers who want to carry firearms and are capable of carrying firearms to do so.

Then try and explain that to Doombug who stated that no students were sitting ducks

The shooting of two students instead of seventeen is definitely an improvement.

It's more effective than anything liberals have come up with, that's a fact.

It's amazing how many hoaxes the rubes fell for from Trump.

"I will get rid of gun-free zones on schools — you have to — and on military bases on my first day."

I will immediately repeal and replace ObamaCare and you will have such great health care at a tiny fraction of the cost.

The rubes have STILL not woken up to the fact they are being hoaxed on a nearly daily basis by this New York huckster.

The reward is being able to defend yourself when someone starts shooting at you.

And no, teachers are not being allowed to do it in many schools, so it's not moot.

no matter what deceitful narratives they try to concoct, it cannot be denied that a GGWG challenged the BG and put an end to the threat.

Improvement? Oh, man, that's priceless. Trump didn't put that good guy with a gun in that school!

What is Trump doing to stop the more than 10,000 gun homicides a year?

That teacher would have been the first shot. He would then have shot his intended two students

Yes, some weird people in this thread seem to be cheering in happiness at a school shooting.

    At another school shooting.
    At yet another school shooting.

Yay some children got shot. Aren't guns fantastic. More people should take them to school.
    Quite perverse.

I guess it's a success in the same way that getting into 3 car accidents a year instead of 7 is considered a success.

    THE MEDIA

    THE PRESS

    creates anti-heroes.

Too much coverage for heinous acts.
Some depressed adolescent is thus motivated to go out in a flash
and the media/press gives the idea as well as the "A", "B", "C" of how to do it.

    Yes, an event happened.
    Report it.

No minute to minute update required.
Not headline worthy news, just a story.

In the ole :oldman: days, there was a difference between "News" and "tabloid".
Likewise a diff between journalism and editorial.

    Moi :oldman:
I miss Al Jazeera for quality TV News.

    There is Always . . . . their "news"

If the pay is all that bad it probably isn't worth dying for so they might be better off fighting back.

Personally I was just thinking to myself yesterday how long America had gone without shooting a school up.
It had started to feel unnatural.

Let's hope the gunman didn't use an AR 15.

I'm under the impression that a "reward" is getting some special recognition for doing something well. A bigger paycheck for dealing with this kind of stress would be considered a reward.

    Every circumstance is different.
You cannot secure a large area without a sizable security force. For instance, an airport. A school. A Trump rally.
Guess which one of these does not have a sizable security force?

There are circumstances where everyone should not be armed. For instance, an airplane. Suicide missions have changed the "arm everybody" dynamic a bit. If everyone is armed at a Trump rally, or a school, this does not reduce the risk to the president, or the students concerning the person determined to die. What works in both situations is to prevent arms from entereing except for security forces, which teachers should be added to.

What we rationally object to is "gun free zones" without an adequate security force to protect the inhabitants. That creates "soft targets". Now, what issue do you take with a safe in every room, training and more pay for teachers?

You'd prefer this school shooting had 17 deaths? I'm sure there are a number of liberals out there that probably do wish that.

First he's putting this country first, and creating jobs and wealth. Right now he's addressing the opioid problems.

Should we go back to Obama's methods of sending guns to Mexican cartels?

    What stress?

Have you ever been in a gunfight?

I can ensure you that everyone is stressed, but no one is more stressed than the person who forgot to bring their firearm.

The "reward" is not having to use your body as a bullet sponge.
