"High taxes be damned, the rich keep moving to California"

CA has the highest income tax in the country, and the money they spend on subsidizing illegal immigrants and a whole lot of other liberal BS is the reason why.

 

I've stated elsewhere that NV is now a blue state politically, which I attribute much to the influx of Californians fleeing the high taxes of CA, but bringing their CA politics with them. We have a high sales tax here, close to 8% I think, but no state income tax at all.

Were it not for Las Vegas, we'd be a red state.

So if California has the strongest economy in US and most of Europe, why can't we provide universal health care?

They're not socialists. They favor more spending on social programs, higher taxes on higher income groups, more regulation on business, and more help for minorities and women.
