I don't want to argue with a proxy who cannot respond. I asked you a question. If you are unable to answer it, why are you talking about Australian gun bans actually doing something useful?

It has everything to do with it, because he refuses to allow any gun control laws that would prevent these acts.

you all pretend that people who are not deterred by the very reality of a death sentence will be deterred by a malum prohibitum statute that carries a much lesser sentence.

Just as soon as you admit the picture below represents an acceptable risk for your gun control utopia.

Have you ever watched this famous video? He addresses this very point, but in a very funny way. He is speaking for me.

LOOKS LIKE A TYPICAL AMERICAN SCHOOL THESE DAYS, OR A SHOPPING MALL, OR POST OFFICE, OR RESTAURANT OR EVEN THE VEGAS STRIP.

I'm presenting a reasonable argument. You're responding with absurdities because you have no defense.

Restricting access to assault rifles will save lives. Preventing mass shootings will also help avoid the problem of others being inspired when one occurs and committing one of their own.

No absurdities, MORE CHILDREN HAVE DIED SINCE UVALDE THAN IN THE ACTUAL SCHOOL SHOOTING ITSELF.
About 120,000 people will be shot this year - about a third of these will be children. About 1.5 million Americans have died by firearms since I was born. Guns have become a real security issue for every American. Guns have become a real rights issue - the right to life and freedom from fear.

Your self proclaimed "reasonable argument" fails to acknowledge why we have a 2nd Amendment.

Allowing liberals to disarm Americans creates an unacceptable risk to anyone with a knowledge of history for reasons described in this book.

The 2nd Amendment is past its expiration date, in light of how the military has evolved since the 18th century, when the nation had no military but the "well regulated militias" referred to in the text.

Some 18-year-old punk buying an AR-15 to use against a school full of kids is a far cry from what was intended by the 2nd Amendment. In fact, guns at the time did not allow for such a thing since they were much slower to fire and reload.

It's time you stopped deluding yourself with fantasies of fighting a guerilla war against a hypothetical tyrannical government and acknowledge the ugly truth before us and the kind of solution that it calls for.

Just admit that little kids being massacred in the womb is a price you deem acceptable for abortion freedumb.

assault rifles have never been used to commit murder by a private citizen who legally owned one in US history.

No one who is not a dealer or LE Officer may possess an assault rifle made after May 19, 1986

2/3 of gun shot deaths are suicides, of the remaining death 80% of those killed by firearms each year are felons and many others are close associates of felons.

What's the difference between someone shooting you in a random act of violence, or you shooting yourself 'cos you got out of the wrong side of a bed one morning? Not much.

It is a good idea passing some kind of gun control, hoping that it will curb the shootings that have been happening here. All we can do is to pray that there will be no more incidents like there was in the grocery stores in Buffalo and Denver, The schools in Sandy Hook and Uvalde, and possible elsewhere where there could be shootings for no reasons. I hope this can save a few more lives is what we want.

As Jim Jefferies put it, you don't defend yourself with an assault rifle, you need a security rifle. You know, something that fires a shot a few yards 'cos you are just defending yourself. And instead of going to a gun convention go to home security conventions. Instead of reading a gun magazine, read Padlock Monthly. Or, maybe security isn't the issue - maybe you just love guns.

The current uproar over the deaths by gunshot of children in mass shooting incidents has generated a number of suggestions. They are centered upon making children less likely to die of gunshot in schools. Thus far, the result has been the usual prayers and condolences from the expected quarters.

Data indicates that 2% of child deaths from gunshot occur in schools.

Data also indicates that 85% of child deaths from gunshot occur in their homes.

Perhaps the attention should be directed away from schools, which are relatively very safe, and toward places which present a much greater risk to them.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well . . . 'n un-shot.

So if you got rid of guns you wouldn't have a gun crime issue.
You know, don't you, that the maximum penalty for carrying a hand gun in England is fifteen years jail? You get six months for burglary and fifteen years for the gun - so you don't take a gun to a crime scene.

Do you keep it beside your bed? Does it follow you to the bathroom? Do you know you are 80% more likely to kill yourself with a gun at home than to be killed by someone with a gun?

I can get to it in a moment if needed.

There may be a lot of people who are more likely to kill them self with a gun but I'm not one of them.

A shotgun is a great defensive weapon because for one, it doesn't kill your neighbors if you use it. And shotguns aren't effective for mass shootings. It is a sane defensive weapon for the home.

Well we Aussies don't have shotguns in our homes (actually I live in rural Mallee and we all have guns, but I digress) and we don't get shot either. You see I don't have shotgun to defend myself, and my neighbor doesn't have a shotgun to shoot me. If we have an issue we usually take it to the local council, police or civil court.

    I don’t want ar15’s to become illegal
CC permits should be honored but there should be minimum standards on those

I am an advocate for training and licensing — not bans

As to the groomer issue, many that are calling teachers groomers are now saying they should be armed.
