How the Republican Party Became The Party of Racism

You mean like when you guys bring up slavery 100+yrs ago, the KKK 71 yrs.

 

According to you a party that hasn't nominated a minority for potus makes all it's members racist. You ever
think that the Republican party has a small amount of registered minorities because the Democratic KKK
Party has promised them and delivered to them a total non-capitalistic government controlled cradle to grave
lifestyle. A poor or underclass people will almost always take government goodies over transitioning to the
Republican/Conservative ideal of picking oneself up by their bootstraps so as to make and reach goals that
will in the end give them something to be proud of and to feel good about themselves. So, the few minorities
that do indeed register as Republicans have gone on to be successful in their lives. You must be so proud of your racist, people dividing, destructive failed president...

This post also can point to how much systemic racism was in the past and is today.
With such lopsided numbers of those of a specific skin color(melanin) being systemically put away.

The south did. Many states in the south to be more specific. Unless you can prove all those who were on the confederates were all dems. Maybe you can do so?

The south was a predominant Democratic stronghold for a century and a half or two. They lost the stranglehold after LBJ and the Republicans passed the civil rights and voting rights acts and the black masses and minority Republicans threw the Democrats' asses out of office.

They were largely conservative dems, yes.
Today, the are largely conservative repubs. They being the conservative south. Parties can flip.
Today, dems are largely liberal. And have been for 70 yrs or so.

 

Sounds about right, although I would say more like 90 years starting with FDR.

 

More recently the south has been a Repub stronghold as the racists who voted for Dems now vote for Repubs.
