Some people seem to revel in being ill-informed. There's no helping them

 

Anyone who believes our economy is even in the same ball park as in 1929 is certainly ill-informed and there is no helping them. I was born in 1937 shortly after the depression and my mother and dad raised four children during the depression. There is zero comparison. My mother talked about the depression and those days were truly bad.

 

Because it WOULD be a lie. That Trump mishandled and crashed the economy is not a lie. It's just a fact... You remember what "fact" means? Those things that we used to all agree on before Trump polluted the minds of so many.

 

Covid-19 crashed the economy. That was going to happen regardless of what Trump did. If you don't restrict, more cases occur and the economy crashes. If you you do restrict, people stay home and the the economy crashes.

Prior to Covid-19, we had a great economy. We have had nothing in the past that was even close. Especially, not anything resembling 1929. Show me the numbers from December 2019 and compare to any month in the Obama administration or any other administration for that matter.

Your specialty is comparing Trump to events which are not comparable. Hitler and 1929.

 

Because Trump mishandled Covid-19. Obama left in place a series of safeguards to ensure that if the next President were a moron (which he was), the economy that he created could recover quickly. But he didn't account for the possibility that it would be THIS big a moron. Maybe Biden will bring it back quick... maybe it will take time. But there is no way around the fact that Trump's mishandling of the pandemic is what most contributed to the crash being at the level we are seeing.

 

You don't know what contributed most.

 

If you don't stay home how are you going to avoid all the Covid-Mary Trump fans who are determined to see more Americans killed by the Trump virus than died in WWII That's over 400 K.

It is very much in the same ballpark and it has only been going on for 9 months. The GOP still doesn't like to do anything to help regular people. Thank God Biden is getting in even though he will be totally obstructed in Congress looks to me.... Every time the GOP gets in for eight years they give us a giant corrupt deregulation bubble and bust that the rich make scads of money at and we end up paying for.... So far this has had very similar unemployment and losses thanks to the orange clowns total failure to react to the pandemic period not reported on the GOP propaganda machine unbelievable.

 

The economy prior to Covid-19 was great. Show me a statistic to the contrary.

Even after Covid-19, the economy has been nothing like it was in 1929.

Explain how you keep people from coming in contact with each other and at the same time allow business to operate at the same level.

So you don't believe that large gatherings should be forbidden or that restaurants should limit their seating. Because if you do, then the economy is hurt regardless of who is president.

The Trump economy was significantly better than Obama's.
